Hidden roof refers to a type of roof design where the structural elements, such as the wooden frameworks and the sheets are concealed within the building's walls to create a clean and seamless look, giving the impression that the roof is hidden from view.

Hidden roof designs can take various forms, depending on the architectural style and preferences.
In this video, we worked out and chose the cheapest and full functional option to save our client from the cost that comes with constructing an all-round “Shed Hidden Roof” that will need us to construct a Box Gutter at least at the back and also raise parapet at the back as well. We eliminating the box gutter and the parapet wall and substituted it with 2 feet extension of the roof’s framework, the sheets and a ceiling at the back which we used the same roofing sheet material.
With these additions as compared to the total cost of the Box Gutter and its waterproofing , Parapets construction… etc She saved not less than 70% (on the cost of the box gutter, parapet, waterproofing..etc).
NB:
1. Shed Hidden Roof : In this design, the roof slopes in one direction, creating a slanted or shed-like appearance. The structural components are hidden within the walls, giving it a clean and streamlined look.

Long span is often a good choice with two major merits:
1. Full length: As the name depicts, “Long Span”, a sheet spans from end to end with no mid-laps. Thus, no leakages can be recorded in the middle.
2. Long span has the total package (side trims, wall sheets, special eaves etc) that checks all angles with required materials to seal leakages even at the very end of the fascia board!
The normal sheet then, is not considered a good choice for hidden roof as it lacks all the aforementioned merits.
NB: Roofing Material type, brings a lot to the table but the installers/roofers makes it work!

By “mini deck” you meant the “box gutter”.
I believe the description would’ve given you a slight idea of this method as there’re many methods in constructing a hidden roof.
“That house is gonna leak in few months”
I’m sorry it’s been two years and it’s still going strong.
Most hidden roofs with box gutters are prone to leakages due to various factors, but I won’t go there, not yet 😃.

Mr. @@samuelzedekiah7946, the wall wasn’t cracked, it’s the standard procedure. Most carpenters substitute the wall sheets with the roofing sheet itself and most times, cut into the walls to hide the edges of the sheets to avoid water seeping between the walls and the sheet. Which somehow is ok till “time” happens.
