Can I just burst your lil happiness bubble. Imagine in a few years time there will be less glorious intake noise n more wwwweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee....🤕🤕🤕🤕
Kind of Glad Chris is not on Top Gear! Followed Chris from EVO and he really sweats Petrol😅 This is his Bread And Butter, being him, enjoying Driving and not having to Prat about !!
Absolutely loving this series. Collecting cars x Harris and the film team, they know exactly what content we want and put together some fantastic stuff
The Tuthill is a thing of beauty and definitely on the lotto win list but my God that Alfaholics GTA-R is just incredible. The GOAT Chris Harris in his element. Love this current series
Yes, I wish they could revisit that in the dry. I'm pretty sure the result would be very very different and the Alfa would come out on top... both stunning cars, of course....
It's hard to put into words how much the bloopers and behind-the-scenes sections help make these videos feel so real and organic, genuinely makes you feel like you're around with the team! The contrast between Chris' presenting voice and normal talking/explaining stuff or just fooling around voice is great. Some of the best content ever, thanks a lot!
I just really want to say, the bits of "filming of this video" interwoven with the actual video is so, so refreshing and feels so *real* in a way that other automotive videos simply haven't done. Really wise and unique choice, keep pushing the art form lads!
I don't care what anyone says the Alfaholics GTA-R is the best restomod ever made. You can keep your Singers your Tuthills and your Eagles, it is automotive PERFECTION.
And I don’t think many actual car enthusiasts would disagree with you on this one 😂 Singers to me are more like works of art than true performance cars
I race a step-nose Giulia (with lots of Alfaholics bits) and can empathise with Chris over the traction challenge - and I have “only” 200bhp and weigh 830kg. Often out-qualify more powerful Porsches only to be out-dragged off the line. People often comment on my engine note too - so iconic. And the Giulia just looks amazing from every angle.
What a privilege to be in either of these stunning motors! Best one so far. “Hope you’ve enjoyed it as much as I have”…. no Chris Harris, of course we haven’t… you got to drive these beasts! But it was still chuffing enjoyable to watch though! Top marks all.
This series has been an absolute joy to watch! Its beautifully shot, wonderfully unscripted, amazing cars, a great little track, some excellent induction and exhaust noises, and even some fun behind the scenes bits. And the funny little bloke from Bristol looks to be having fun to boot! Great work Chris and the Collecting Cars team. The best automotive videos on TH-cam by a country mile. Massive Porsche fan... 6-cylinder engine noise pervert... but that i4 in the Alfa is nothing less that rawkus! LOVE IT!!
After top gear, I never felt video production could be bettered. And then Harris and team come out with this stunningly casual, and yet utmost professional production. Bravo, all.
Much better Chris. No second hand car sales just solid driving of two legends on a challenging track and loads of fun and eye candy. One of the best videos you've done in a long while. Cheers
The Alfa 105 is an absolute little gem. Once affordable just a few short years ago, but still a slightly underrated classic Italian coupe. Grab one why you can!
Never, as a dyed in the wool Alfa lover, did I think I’d consider a Porsche over an Alfa. But on cost, the Porsche has it, and despite the induction noise of the Alfa, so does the crackle on the overrun. I need a lie down 😂
Been waiting for this one. I was picking my mate up from the warehouse next to the track that day and got there to hear the Alfa going round, it sounds absolutely amazing even from a distance. Lottery win car for definite.
thoroughly enjoyed llandow laps, really good content, love the behind the scenes parts, adds a comedic twist. Brilliant. Plus we get to see Harris doing what he does best
Both stunning cars and hard to choose! The 911 would probably get the nod from me as a Pcar fan. But that Alfa is so beautiful, so elegant and that induction roar.... Love your work Chris and the team.
Keep it coming!! Loving this series! Great comparison here, but that Alfa is just so amazing. Credit to Tuthill, but ill take the Alfa for 500 grand thanks.
When I first got into cars, back in the early-mid 2000’s, I thought the best automotive noises were the Zonda, F430 and Enzo, or the Carrera GT. Now that I’m old and jaded…give me the intake snarl of that Alfa any day. That’s so beautiful.
Sacrilege! Running that Alfa in wet British weather and NOT coated in Alfa red is unforgivable! Other than that, amazing video and absolutely brilliant cars. Great work, gents.
I had a perfectly drivable 73 GTV 2000, and I sold it for almost nothing 😢I guess that like most of them from here (SA too), it ended up making its way to the UK
@@shaneeardley5269 We all have things we've sold that haunt us. I wish that GT Jr was in my walk-out basement on a rotisserie being restored. And that I had the money to throw all the Alfaholics goodies at it. I have the crazy idea to modify a GTV with an Alfetta transaxle, that would give it a 50/50 weight distribution and low unsprung weight. I had an Alfetta and a Milano, both handled very well.
Brilliant short series. We need more please. I rewatched Chris on TG when he did his piece on McRaes 95 Impreza, any chance of some more videos like that. Lots of great period footage qnd history with some hot laps from the maestro at the end.
Theres such a thing as cars being too nice and me wanting them too much, and these are an example of that. They hurt me because i don't have them and theyre so nice.
If i owned that Alfa, I would literally have the biggest grin plastered on my face till my dying days, enjoying every second of it. What a machine!! (In Chris's voice lol)
Let's test a couple of top notch restomods in the pissing wet in Wales- their owners sure as hell won't... Still I watch because: Chris Harris. Next, motorbikes in the snow!
Mr Harris has some serious minerals throwing that Porsche around so confidently in the sopping wet. I know Mr Tuthill & Co can develop a very sound motor vehicle but by golly...
That Tuthill is the bollox and we all knew it would be... but that Alfa is fackin' rude. Love it. Love it. Love it. More Landau Laps please, Chris. Top Gear and The Grand Tour could learn a thing or two from you, Boss.
This series is getting back to the Chris Harris on Cars levels content wise!! I was all over that Alfa then he launched the Porsche! It’s got proper ‘74 2.8MPi vibes!!!!
I've got 5 gt Juniors , 2 Giulias and a one off round back spider , a GTV 6 and alfa sud Sprint Veloce . I've also got a mint 928 and 944 and Mk1 and MK 2 ford escorts with 400 hp a piece . The Trick GT juniors are way and beyond my favorites.
I really love the approach you guys take to presentation. The mix between the behind-the-scene/blooper reel and the interactions with the film crew is quite different different but much appreciated. I've been loving the series so far, keep it up guys job well done. 👍🏽
I would get the Tuthill 911K 846kg all carbon fibre 11000rpm People go for the Alfa , because you don’t see them very often But the Porsche is the better car

Note to the editor: 51.54 (51 *point* 54), not 51:54 (that would be 51 minutes, 54 seconds). Got it right at the finish line, got it wrong on the leaderboard.
Chris has been over the moon every time he drives an Alfaholics car. If he hasn't already, he really needs to add one to his garage - save a couple of quid and get a steel bodied one. On the lap, when a 911 squats down on its rear to accelerate out of a corner, it just isn't fair.
Yes Chris realy enjoyed the comparison between the two. As a matter of fact been waiting for you to do it for a year or so since you did the comparison on the other Alfa a couple of years ago. John Norman racing here in Albany California is a shop I think you would very much enjoy with old English shop setting that been that way forever, and there a Alfa shop that does engines for National race teems in Formula Atlantic, at lest the last time was in there a few years ago, they were still there.
Two absolute dream cars in my book. Thankfully i think i will never need to make a decision between the too and i will just continue to wrestle my solid axle defnder around corners 😁😉 Still a blast to watch 🎉

I will never get over that intake noise from the Alfa...ugh it just sounds sooo good.
It is the absolute definition of an eargasm, a sound that I can never get tired of.
Retropower did a Alfa with a Millington Diamond engine in it, the customers remit was it must be able to beat anything with a M badge around a track

That induction noise of that Alfa gives me goosebumps. If you prefer an ev over that you don’t have a soul and you must hate driving.

@@bugattieb110ss We get it, you're British and you like Escorts. Too bad they don't have even 1% of the soul and pedigree that an Alfa has.
