I'd heard Brother Can you Spare a Dime many times in past years - but, never sung so poignantly and beautifully - not surprisingly. GM was a treasure....❤ Love how the crowd at the end didn't want him to leave - what a performance (as always). How cool is that moment where he waves (5:32) toward the percussionist as signal to play - I always find it so crazy that hideous rupert murdoch thought for one second people would give a crap about whether this amazing human was gay or not.

@@jac5717 I acted the same way he did. Your gums go numb and your nose does too. When you're that composed and relaxed doing what you do, you can appear very calm while high. I may be completely wrong though, just I know this was around the time his drug abuse was getting out of hand. I'm a huge GM fan, but I went down some bad roads too and sometimes you can hide it very well
There are quite a few interviews where he talks about how often he was doing cocaine and other substances during this time period. But you may be right. I think he also mentioned he never performed under the influence but that was in his younger Faith and LWP phase
