Agree with you darling handsome sweet natured kind deeply spiritual very private gifted. GOD HES SO HANSOME..darling you are so right you have excellent taste bless you 🙇 🙏
I was there in the audience at Wembley Stadium watching him sing this live back on Saturday early evening, 9th Oct 1999. Most amazing performance I ever heard.
Came to see this flawless performance by GM again… AND to give some love to the songwriter here, Mr. Yip Harburg. He also wrote and styled much of THE WIZARD OF OZ. A forgotten great. No doubt our dear, great and appreciative/reverent GM wanted us to remember him, too. To the brilliant songwriters, and singers, whose legacy GM so magnificently represents. Forever.
See this song performed by George at the Modena arena in Italy at the Pavorotti invitational charity concert. Even better than this! George was so talented and so generous, God rest him.
Praise to the live editor on this one! The camera angles are EXACTLY what we want! Good old close ups of the most gorgeous man in pop! And what a set of lungs haha! See you in August George xxx!
George M.. love every song that he written ..... This amazing entertainer he is finally in his element... best of music ever written,... thx for sharing
Good? No, great. You don’t know how hard it is to sing a song like that with not one crack, to emote like that, the breath control. GM was one of the best if not the best. An old soul more Sinatra than Mercury. He’s missed.
@davitdavit87 Have listened to Tom Waits but sorry to say it sounds very contrived. An attempt to override substance with style, which didn't quite come off. Sounded a bit like Louis Armstrong, with overtones of some infliction caused by smoking too many cigarettes. Each to his own, but definitely not what I'd call music.
this is simply ridiculous - he's wearing two thousand dollar sun glasses; jewelry an armani outfit ( I'm speculating of course) but he looks expensive even his haircut and goatee look expenseive - and he's singing a depression era song about poverty despair and suffering
jim partridge it's not ridiculous, it's sad. Kinda embarassing reading all of those comments - he sings it really bad, as for me, zero emotions. Just compare with Connie Francis' version.
+jim partridge That's not the point. He's turned up to sing for FREE for the audience. How do you want him to dress, in his birthday suit? He doesn't HAVE to do it you know, he does it because he cares!!!
Kv Andisheh I'm afraid I can't agree. George sings well, but for me this just doesn't have the same deep feeling as Dean Martins version. Yes, I know that sounds crazy, the ultimate crooner from the swinging Las Vegas Rat Pack, but just take a listen (it's available here on You tube) and compare the two versions. I don't know if it's because Dean actually came from that era that the song sings about or what, but he REALLY makes you feel the despair and desperation of the lyrics.
He had so much more to give re singing, I think he would have become as famous and as internationally goog as Sinatra. Sad sad loss to mankind 💕💕
I truly believe George Michael is the best living male vocalist of our time.
Sad to read this and now he is no longer living in our time :(
@@iangrant3615 ❤️❤️❤️

Only one word: Perfect.

Maravilloso!!! Grande George Michael!!!
Different tastes, different styles... Waits renders the feeling, Michael a beautiful voice... Either one great versions.
It's exactly the same as the album.
I've never seen his mistakes on stage. Thanks for sharing.✨
the one
M A G N I F I Q U E !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Целая эпоха потихоньку уходит.... Жаль...
The thing I liked about George Michael was that, unlike a lot of white male singers, he didn't try his living best to sound BLACK.
RIP
Great! That's the only thing to say :-)
I was at this concert, George Michael & Bowie were the highlights by a mile. The Corrs were just annoying.
This was Autumn 1999, not 2000.
I was there too and you're right, George and Bowie were the best. A wonderful day in the old Wembley Stadium.
Jim Partridge you know it already now he gives million to a charity's
its been said he cant sing the okey kokey :) but i agree the gods blessed him with an amazing voice
good
@spiritdancerify
i agree that he has amezing songs, but it's not his song:) it was written in 1931 :)
Loved him wasn't he so slik
He ain't no Bing Crosby.
Strepitoso

He can sing...but I doubt that with his millions, he realy needs a dime! :D
4 people are skint....
Over-bite or what?

+WarZealot1 If you think he sang that badly, then you'd better get your ears checked or go see a psychiatrist because that was outstanding.
Dr Chunky Biscuit i think that bad musical taste is a terrible disease and you should get help in a hospital.
+jim partridge What a strange comment. Sympathy should have the right to wear any outfits shouldn't it ?
Sorry bros, listen to Tom Waits Version, Now Thats What I call Music
Totally disagree. To each their own.
24 morons !!!
@meloveicecream24 Al Jolson sang it best
GM version is nice and jazzy.
Al Jolson version was a different era and sounds awful compared to George and I understand what Jolson did for music.
I Dont like this arrangment!
the Version og Bing Crosby is the Best!
Or Bab Streisand.....LOL
