Her understanding of race dynamics and tactics is superb. Especially considering how little time she’s been racing at that level. Also, it’s clear that she was well prepared. Not just physically but overall well prepared in terms of knowing the course, researching other riders and having the right equipment. On top of that very pleasant personality. All the best Rosa! Team Germany for the win! 😊
48 chainring! She's a beast! And so smart - analyzing the course beforehand to see where to put down hard efforts and where to save energy. Can totally see why she's getting a PhD.
I agree with you Calvin. She is the woman to beat next year. Beyond impressive in every way. I must say that I am perplexed however. I may have her history wrong, but if she's been racing bikes for 3 years with no other high-level endurance background, how in the world does she compete with elite women that have 6,000+ hours of structured training in their legs? Favorable genetics can only do so much in that amount of time. Am I missing something regarding her history?
Wow, great Interview Calvin! I'm wondering if these gravel privateers like Rosa could be a part of big teams, like EF, Visma or Bora but racing only in the gravel scene. Lachlan Morton is the only one who doing it right now. P.S. Good luck to Rosa, she has some engine!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! I was actually talking to a friend about that. I do think that will probably eventually happen as the gravel scene continues to evolve. Plus surrounding the key riders with domestiques as well.
@@SeeSmithTV I dunno. I think the era of repeat dominator winners is over. That was a mass sprint that any of those 9 could have won. I think from now on we'll have a mass sprint 75% of the time and a breakaway winner maybe 25% of the time. If that.
If that does happen, honestly I’d welcome it. Makes it more interesting for us having different winners each year. But Rosa’s tactical knowledge and ability makes me believe she can do it again. Time will tell though.
Great questions and she is an amazing smart athlete
Thanks! And yes she is. Big things ahead for her.

What a treat she is… the antithesis of Sofia V.
I have a strong feeling this won’t be her only Unbound victory
