Love your videos! Can you please explain why as the acidity increases, it’s a lower pH number? Like if it’s getting more acidic, meaning more hydrogen ion, wouldn’t the pH number be higher? I just don’t understand why this is flipped if the pH scale is graded based on the number of hydrogen ions.
One more question. If the food we eat does not regulate the pH of our blood, then how does vomiting up a lot of stomach acid change the pH of our blood?
Do the kidneys produce sodium bicarbonate, or just bicarbonate?
