It's a lot of inexperienced drivers not being taught what to do and how to handle fires like this. They dint teach newbies anything but hiw to drive. This could have been avoided if the driver would have been taught to stay out from under the overpasses and bridges and park in the open but tbey don't
The news reports that I've found say the driver is still unaccounted for. Hopefully they're found alive and unharmed. That ain't a good sign. T & P for their friends and loved ones.
What a hot mess (literally). I hope the driver got out alive and unhurt. Philadelphia has at least one major refinery (Sun Oil/Sunoco) so likely just left one of them with a full load of fuel (7-8,000 gallons of gasoline or diesel). One has to wonder if a mechanical, tire failure, someone cut the truck off. As very early in the AM on a Sunday, and per the dashcam video, very light traffic and hopefully no one else involved in this major incident. This is also cutting off access to at least 1 major cross-Delaware River Bridge and possibly a 2nd, compounding the situation. No doubt this will take months to inspect, figure out how to fix and to do so.
I worked in the area of cottman ave years ago, it was hard when 95 was worked on in the past . Gee ever heard of temporary bridge it could have been erected in a short amount of time.

It won't have happened.
What are you guys watching ???? Tanker took turn too fast and rolled it, catching fire and destroying the roadway above.
Of all places it to happen. Traffic gonna be a mess for awhile. Probably till next year
Heard about this after getting back to the city. This is a huge blow to the flow of traffic which already sucked throughout the philly metro area. The infrastructure in and around the city has no shortage of potholes to hell roads with cracks in the time and space continuum. Sad thing is they just did this part of 95.
You got your work cut out Alex.
Find the name of the company who cause this.
Find out about the driver.
If possible, an interview with the driver
Good luck with that.
As long as there were no fatalities- the bridge can be repaired.
Who pays for the bridge?
Indeed! As long as life is spared the bridge can be rebuilt.
@@rod1798 Citizens, companies, and tourists- what's your point?
@@rod1798 They can use some of the money they rob the public with from that Toll Road that was supposed to only charge until the road was completed. As you notice they never stopped charging for a road the public has already paid for 4 times over.
@G C You are totally right about that lol. I imagine the trucking company has to fork up some money for the governor pockets right?
That is a fear of mine!
I don’t do any part of the northeast anymore and this is all the more reason not to. Hope the driver and all involved are okay.
That shouldnt have collapsed the bridge
Very odd. Alex your are spot on correct, there is no information if the truck was in an accident, how it might have caught fire and if the truck driver survived or was even hurt.
One commenter below noted no fuel truck is to park legally under or near bridges.
Another strange event where the public will be told nothing of consequence except “it’s an ongoing investigation and I can’t comment on that.”
Very strange
@@MuthaTrucker Yes, they knew within hours who it was that supposedly hijacked the planes on 9/11 but you're telling me no truck company noticed they're missing a driver and truck filled with fuel? And there was no traffic backed up on the road leading under the overpass and no video from those drivers? And no news agency has thought to ask that question? Believe nothing you hear and only half of what you see.
@@JesusIsaFlatEarther " supposedly hijacked the planes on 9/11 "
WOW !! So what about the Moon landings ?? "They changing the weather with chem-trails"
You peeps are funny. Not ha ha funny.
Happened in Atlanta once when someone built a fire under the overpass on i 85 . Took a awhile to repair . Not sure exactly how long .
Has happened all over.
China would have this completed over the weekend 😉
Many parys to that driver and the people who was impacted. Lord watch over them all. I pray in your name. Amen
But a train derailment doesn’t get a response like this
I don't go any further northeast than Virginia thank God, because I know what it's like up there. No more northeast for me. This collapse will be a traffic nightmare for months to come. Couldn't have happened to a better city though.
Man, that's right in "da hood".
The real story is somebody sneezed to hard and the bridge collapsed and there happened to be a tanker underneath and it caught fire.
This is horrible and this happened only 2 miles from my home. One of my friends was a first responder who stated it was is a wall of fire and manholes were blowing off.. This happened while he was coming off the off ramp.. there is a sharp curve right there .. sad.. and all traffic has been redirected most on Toreesdale Avenue.. where I live.. prayers go out to the family.
Not like frick park 2 hours before Joe Shows up? To talk about infrustructure?

"We will have no problem getting Federal founds" he says. Bring out a clown with the Ukrainian flag. These two things dont compute brother.
1996 all over again for Philadelphia. Highway bridge collapse. Took six months to repair it. 🤔
Truckers over on that side take the Delaware memorial bridge to the Jersey Turnpike or 295 to avoid that mess
I just had a news alert saying they have recovered one body in the debris but can't tell if it was the truck driver or not. RIP
Why do I have the feeling that their gonna go hard on the tankers
Is that what you think?
@@jaybee5832 their gonna pass a state law or something so this won't happen agian
It's a lot of inexperienced drivers not being taught what to do and how to handle fires like this. They dint teach newbies anything but hiw to drive. This could have been avoided if the driver would have been taught to stay out from under the overpasses and bridges and park in the open but tbey don't
Who did that, rule #1 never park under a Bridge 🎉Big Dummy🎉 Thats how i get to my base????
Six people spoke at this explanation of events, supporting each other and their narrative.
Florida rebuilt the Pine Island bridge in 3 days
The news reports that I've found say the driver is still unaccounted for.
Hopefully they're found alive and unharmed. That ain't a good sign. T & P for their friends and loved ones.
No worries, as soon as Pete finishes his maternity leave he'll take care of the situation.
Oh no worries thats what the toll money for no need for federal assistance sir yall got it
Yup this is my city and i was nit far from there when it happen I’m not a truck driver but i will be soon
They never thought it was gonna collapse
Which came first? The collapse or the fire?
🤯🤯🤯
too many "accidents" when burning tankers take out bridges
I’m hearing on the local news that the remains were taken out of the tractor trailer this morning.
My question is why did the truck stop under the bridge you think common Sense would say it would damage the bridge
I thought the same thing. Accident or Terrorist.
Crazy that entire time no emergency service knew until Afterward.
Brokers be like we need to deliver that load asap. Find a way
Red hot chili 🌶 Peppers,Under the Bridge 🎉God hold them tight.Peace🎉.
The dark smoke would hide the real incendiary being used.
The mob wanted a bridge contract and the city said we don't currently have one that needs fixing.
Put some steel plates across, good as new.
