@@stedye I’m really enjoying this hybrid, for me it’s a great fit. Haven’t had an issue with noise, it’s a solid ride. I drive it a lot in sport mode, just feels better. Lexus makes great cars
one thing to note. I kind of like how you review the interior from the passenger seat instead of the driver seat. It makes it look like we are sitting at the driver's seat by putting the camera there, and we get to see more of the driver's side.
We looked at both UX 200 & 250. You've got your Demographic spot on. But I don't agree with your appraisal that a tomb-like conveyance is the "Lexus" Hallmark. This is a sporty, fun to drive car that stays in its lane and doesn't try to be all things to all drivers. I don't accept that perceived corporate identity has to be represented by every model and trim level. Otherwise the Cadillac CTS-V could never be a true Cadillac. But the CTS-V is the greatest Caddie ever! We wanted 35mpg hwy, check. We wanted crisp handling, check. We wanted a classy interior, check. We wanted durability, check. We wanted sub $35k, check. We wanted great resale, check. Looks like a 🎯 to me!
One thing to consider when getting this car is what and where it is used. THIS IS A CITY CAR. Americans complain a lot how this car is small then get a bigger one like the NX or RX. If you live in Europe then this is a great choice. I got the UX hybrid since it is the closest size to the CT which is what I really wanted. Living in the suburbs and commuting to the city gas mileage is really good and it is easy to park. Though the all wheel drive is a plus, it has a small gas tank, I would still use my Subaru Outback for longer road trips. This is definitely a good secondary car.
In europe this is a mid sized car. Its not a city car. That would be a Picanto, C1, 500 etc. Its great on the motorway. Very stable and quiet at 70 MPH.
In the UK no way is this just a city car ..just done a 900 mile trip to the south coast from the NE of England . Car drove beautiful and was so comfortable . Love it
Had 1 today as a courtesy car and at 1st I didn't really like it but after driving it I actually started to like it. I think this review is spot on. But what I want it for I'm actually concidering getting 1 now
You don't want the FSport or FWD. The UX250h is great in premium plus sat nav. Very cool in white mica pearl. You dont need to use the track pad as just about everything is available by voice recognition. You can stop the display changing with driving mode and always show the rev counter. You must have the run-flat tyres which ruin the ride. In the UK we get normal tyres and the ride is quiet, smooth and comfy. I get 53 MPG.
Why do you get 53 when you barley get 40 mpg? Iv always European have very good gas saving cars compared to America even if it's small it gets 30 miles something to a gallon. That's almost double 😳
I’m genuinely curious about that too. I sat in one for less than 5 minutes and I wasn’t comfortable. Which was a shocker considering it’s a Lexus. However, now after owning a CRV EXL which is awd.. I will be looking for that specific drive train next for each my cars. I like this because it has awd plus the hybrid capability.
This is so confusing! Some reviewers are impressed with how quiet and compliant the ride is, and you like some other complain the ride is un-lexus like and unrefined. So which is it?! What kind of roads are did you test it on? You don’t say
I am looking at this car to purchase. I have had Porsches, Mercedes Benz, BMW and Jaguar. Have loved them all - especially the Porsche and BMW on performance. AWESome! However, I need to have a vehicle that is dependable. Lexus trumps them all for reliability and does a better job with holding it’s value. AND - I can use regular octane gas and get amazing mileage. Before, I always used Shell VPower for all my other cars. I will be now saving $$$. It will not be as much fun to drive, I know, but you truly cannot compare this car with any of the German cars as far as performance and speed.
All new cars are dependable. People with extra cash don’t keep their cars for a decade. BMW is something I’m looking into. Lexus is better for older drivers that need to be isolated from every noise.
Bmws suck don't do it!! Iv driven Audi and Porche they are the best 2 reliable German vehicles.... Mercedes and BMWs are always getting fixed. I love my RS7 quicker then any car iv driven. It insane going from 0 to 60 in 2.7 seconds 😳... iv driven Lamborghini, Ferrari, Maserati, Bentleys, Rolls-Royce, Ashton Martin's and R8s.... a Twin Turbo Audi R8 with the hurican motor with white and blue interior!!! Closest thing to a Bugatti since audi owns Bugatti! Lol 🤣 I wonder why?!? Alot of my rs7 interior has the same buttons in a Bugatti..

Correct. Spare tires are passé, apparently. To me, personally, NOT having an emergency ‼️ spare tire is a serious misstep. I’d never even CONSIDER purchasing or leasing a road-trip car or crossover without one. If one stays within the local city limits then MAYBE it would be tolerable (because a tow service is only a few minutes to an hour away), but for any long-distance road trip vehicle that would be a hard “no”. For me, at least. You may differ on that opinion, of course. Just sayin’.
