I use the Jumbo Java A35, absolutely love it. When you first get it, it may require some practice to get used to it. Great response and intonation, and a great sound that is not too dark or bright. Also, the Vandoren Optimum ligature is the best for it.
I’ve tried both mouthpieces but I think the Java a more versatile mouthpiece. The Mindi Abair piece was made specifically for modern poppy music while the vandoren can be played in all kinds of settings. With the right reed, the vandoren can be a total screamer and yet at the same time, a very mellow traditional jazz mouthpiece, in my opinion the Java mouthpiece is one of the best mouthpieces out there. Considering it’s amazing price of $115
You sound great on both mouthpieces! The Theo Wanne has more presence I think More overtones maybe? It’s interesting how you keep your sound on both mouthpieces
Hey man you sound awesome no matter what you blow into ! Any MP recommendation to pair with Plasticover reeds? Need to keep using them cuz I double a lot on other instruments and sing. Need to darken the bright sound of those reeds but still need nice easy altissimo. Also need light color MP to contrast Plasticover black. Please advise !
I like the Theo better..fuller warmer sound.. me thinks the Jumbo sounds a little thin up top.. But man...you playin that song bro.. in an awesome way..
Way back in the day I played a JJ A75 using a 2 reed.. Loved the power, but figured out my intonation was all over the place.. Now that my chops are more developed maybe I should give it a retry A45 or A55 ?
Your tone is very precise and relaxed, big and fat. Btw, I noticed something very interesting. It seems to me that your embouchure is pretty much relaxed. And my impression is that you need to have rock strong muscles for good embouchure. So, what is the truth? :D P.S. Yeah, I am new to saxophone. :D
Well the A35 V5 has a normal chamber the Jumbo Java has an high baffle, the high baffle gives a more powerful, sharper, edgy sound and requires a little bit more patience and practice. It depends on what you want to play and what kind of sound are you looking for. I played the Jumbo Java A45 for two years, it's a great mouthpiece, surely worth the money, and if one day you change your mind you can sell it no problem. My advice however for an intermediate is Vandoren V16 A5M or a Beechler Diamond M6S
Jumbo Java have a most interesting sound with rich overtones
As always, it really comes down to the musician....great playing!!!
In both mouthpieces it was top, saxophonist plays a lot, congratulations 👏👏👏
exelente comparacion !!!! suenan muy parecidas ... estilo bellite !

That Vandoren Optimum Ligature is such a well-made and effective design. The Yani “Six”looks great but I’m not into the inverted thing.
Vandoren Jumbo Java. It’s also what I play on alto with green Java #3. It’s never too bright, never shrill.
great sound for the jumbo java. I have been using the jumbo java more 5 years.
i like your sweater.... oh... by the way... awesome chops too
Ciao!!! Io preferisco Jumbo Java!!! Ottimo suono!!!

But what pairs well with Plasticover reeds pray tell ?
You played the part with high notes only on Vandoren.
You sound great on both mouthpieces!
The Theo Wanne has more presence I think
More overtones maybe?
It’s interesting how you keep your sound on both mouthpieces
Jumbo Java for sure!
Sweet tone, man.
Great sound my friend, I like both..may I ask what you use to record and what settings to have such clear and clean sound?? Thank you

Sounds like the Theo Wanne is a bit brighter but maybe the sound isn’t as big as the jumbo Java? I personally love the Jumbo Java
The mindi is a much more powerful mouthpiece.
Have you tried both or just the Mindi?
@@bluessax5089 I've only tried the Java but intend on getting the abair. From what I've have heard.. the abair sounds more powerful
Jumbo Java ! :-)
I really want to master my fire element 7 Theo Wanne mouthpiece

Thank you for your comment!I use Plasticover 2.5 with Theo Wanne Durga 8 (metal).I like it!
I like the Theo better..fuller warmer sound.. me thinks the Jumbo sounds a little thin up top.. But man...you playin that song bro.. in an awesome way..
He used a low strength reed of 1.5 on the Vandoren, I play the same Jumbo Java 55 with a fibracell 3 & it sounds amazingly fat.
Way back in the day I played a JJ A75 using a 2 reed.. Loved the power, but figured out my intonation was all over the place.. Now that my chops are more developed maybe I should give it a retry A45 or A55 ?
Jumbo Java gets my vote.
Vandoren !!!!! Muy bonita 🤩
Me gusta la vandoren
For me I like more Vandoren,
Hello sir which app can i get original java jumbo mouthpiece
Sorry just read the description thank you
which reed do you use on vandoren??
I love vandoren
If I got you
toppppppppppppppppp amazinnggg

Java is better the sound is more gospel in my opinion
I love jumbo java
Wich reed are you using theo wanne sound really fat and nice
He used a Vandoren traditions 2, Jumbo A45 sounds even fatter with a fibracell 3.5 & Jumbo A55 goes well with fibracell 3.
VANDOREN JUMBO JAVA
You play most of the high screaming parts on Vandoren and most of the soft low parts on the Theo wanna, so it's really hard to hear a fair comparison.
JJ " speak" more.
TW sounds " tired".
Probably bc he's playing on a bigger tip for the theo. That mindi is a screamer and more edgy
Hi, what is better for intermediate? a35 or jumbo a35? Thx :-)

@@paulprevost1161 Thank you very much for the comprehensive answer. It helped me a lot of in my choice. 🎷✌
Try Jumbo Java 45 with a fibracell 3 or 3.5 & you might never alter your setup again.
@@britainantony8932 What are the main differences between the 35 and the 45? It's not super clear on the Vandoren website. Thanks!
@@jec0435 A more opened tip gives more power to your sound but requires more air, which means more exhausting.
Saya punya keduanya
🎉🎉🇧🇷🇧🇷
metal i ebonit odnoznachno zvuchat po raznomu :)
