This zen feature is actually good.. Like you can politely tell the driver that you are in no mood to listen to his stories and rants about other customers without sounding rude.
    Btw great video

Zen mode sounds cool, Josh. I'll bet there are drivers that wish they had that option too. Like, "Hey client, I just don't feel like talking right now, so could you just keep your pie-hole shut while you're in my car?!?!"

I heard Lyft was more wheelchair friendly, so I went with that. During the time I used it, I never had a driver complain or drive off, so that was good. While I don't have personal experience with Uber, I did come across some wheelies complaining that drivers cancelled their rides.

I'm always pro-lyft anti-uber, entirely because of the difference in how the companies handle creeps. if you've left something in the car (like your phone or laptop) and the driver refuses to bring it back to you (or drove off the second you stepped out of the car without the chance to grab your things), if your driver sexually harasses or full on assaults you, or pulls the 'I'm totally gonna take you where you wanna go until I suddenly take a wrong turn and stop listening to you only to pull down a dark empty road' type shit, all of which I've heard stories about actually happening multiple times, you *have* to involve social media and publicly shame them because otherwise they entirely ignore you, as do the police half the time. and though they claim to background check their drivers, they still end up with a TON of creeps that they do nothing about. and in fact, the level of attention you'll get from them entirely depends on how much attention your social media (though let's be honest, it's mostly twitter) post gets. I've also seen people who posted, got a reply saying they'd look into it, only for that to be their only contact and once again nothing was done, only publicly mentioning it to save face and pretend they're taking care of it. I'm pretty sure they also don't have a female drivers only option so you can't even avoid the creeps. lyft on the other hand does actually take care of you on the back end without you having to resort to public shaming to get corporate's attention, and has features like female only drivers to help female riders feel safer riding alone, AND on top of that, the DRIVERS can also choose female only riders to protect THEM from creepy riders, something uber also doesn't allow, or at least didn't last time I checked.
as a petite woman I feel much safer using and supporting lyft than I ever did uber.

Great jokes. I’m what I call painfully shy. I get panic just paying for stuff at the store. But I am polite and respectful. I don’t like small talk either it’s just awkward but then again I’m polite so I do it. Simple small talk can lift someone’s spirits if they are having a bad day. Same with a smile. People really need to learn to reconnect with others in today’s world. That’s why so many lack compassion and empathy for others. We are too self absorbed.

I have a rating of 4.93, I think it’s because I got in an argument with a driver once. He was taking an extremely long route and getting very lost. I suggested another way but he said no. I had to call my boss to say I would be late and the driver FREAKED OUT! He ranted at me for the rest of the ride about how it was my fault for being late etc. Pretty sure he rated me 1 star. I contacted support but they just gave me $5 and said it was fine haha.

I do not have an Uber rating because I cannot use Uber. Cars + Me = epic badness. My medical condition causes unfathomable amounts of pain when I'm in a car. Such pain will leave me bedridden for at least a week, so I don't use cars, nor do I use Uber. Still, it's interesting. Zen mode *does* make sence, though, as an extrovert, I wouldn't mind talking to the driver. I find such things fascinating...

I'm a 4.6 and I don't understand!!! I am always polite, I make sure not to leave garbage, I reply to questions politely and with a cheery attitude but do not start conversations so as to not disturbs the driver, I am very nice when they fuck up, in short, I have anxiety and I am getting no rewards for it!

I haven't used Uber in a couple of years, but my rating is 4.67. Yikes. I wonder what I did wrong. It really stressed me out that I can't see my Lyft rating. I just want to know. I just moved to a new city with less public transit than my old one, so I've gone from using Lyft a couple times a month to a couple times a day. Just knowing that I'm being rated and judged that often is actually the worst.

Guys don't feel bad. After giving 2800 drives as a driver, I have a 4.84 as well. Can't tell you what I did wrong either. Maybe they don't like my hair either. It increases with time, or at least I've been told. My one star ratings never seem to go away and I have 12 of them. Overall, I have 463 5 stars out of 500 ratings. I'd rather focus on those passengers and worry less about the haters since I have no clue what I do wrong to them anyways. The rides keep coming in too, plus my tipping passengers. If a passenger cancels on me because of my 4.84 someone else will request a ride from me. Thanks.
P.S. I'd pick you up with a 4.84 because who knows what people rate you down for. Life's too short to worry about that. Can't please everyone I suppose. Wish I could but I can't. Funny how I have a 4.94 on lyft as a driver. Don't know what the deal is with Uber. but oh well.

Interesting. I wouldn't think 4.8 is that bad, then, actually. I mean, that's 96%--still an A. I guess it means you've gotten marked down from perfect for something, but I would think that maybe some people just give 4/5 as like a standard, normal rating and then 5/5 would be above and beyond, like if the passenger was super friendly or gave a huge tip or something. I dunno.
      .
Not to diminish the comedy, of course; it just surprised me that he would think 96% is a 'bad' rating.
      .
I've never used either of these, so I really don't know.
