Bought all the albums and loved the pictures they painted in my head of life at sea. For a young man growing up in the North East of England in the 70's we needed all the escapism on offer. Still think they were under rated and he GK wrote some fucking brilliant pop songs.
My all time favorite Sailor song! Thanks a million. My friends and I have sung it so many times at late hours. Reminds me of when Glenn and I visited the USS Pampanito submarine at San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf some 20 years ago - who was sitting at the wall...
A beautiful song, heard it live last year in Heide/Germany, live from Sailor. Yeah. ~ Sadly without Georg (but his 12-string-guitar was with us... another story ;) ) ~ He should be still in the band, so with todays technik, we are able to take better pictures and vids of the original line-up. ~~~
I heard this song for the first time last week and it's been going around in my head ever since - and I'm not complaining! Why oh why was it not a huge hit in the UK? did it do well in Germany?
