    Seriously ,I didn't know about these features of ADS. Thank you Sir, for opening up these areas for me. Really appreciate your hardwork.

    I am using ADS from more than 2 years but still i got to know new things in this series of videos. I feel using these many techniques will ofcourse improve efficiency of simulations, thank you sir for sharing the information.

      It would be nice to check if you could share your coursework after it is complete, and I can create a new tutorial video on how to perform IFA design using your coursework. Let me know if this would be possible?

      @@BhargavaAnurag it is complete. But there is little interesting to salvage from it. I was very short on time so it's not parametrised (couldn't find a way to do it so that segments stay connected, later found out how, but haven't tried it) and just used brute force and modified it until I got results I wanted. Also, workspace is a mess since I iterated the design and then tried to import it to Xpedition Enterprise in various ways. The layout is based on TI application note AN058, which I modified to work on 1000 MHz with approximate of my board geometry and ground plane size. Nonetheless, I can send you the archived workspace, if you still interested.

    Hi Anurag, great videos did you use the same substrate as in part1, and I was wondering what the parameters of the MSUB you used were, I was using the values from the substrate materials I was using, but my S11 is not coming up like in the video.
    Cheers

      You can recheck the parameters. Whether you receive exactly same response shown in the video or not but it should be as per expectation unless either the stackup parameters or the antenna dimensions are wrong

    at 12:20 when you drag and drop the schematic, there is no emModel under the name. But there is one on the parametric antenna you used, will this cause issue ? Thanks

    • @BhargavaAnurag

      Hi Suneel,
      No, In all schematic components Ground is assumed to be ideal so you can't really draw anything on Ground layer.

    • @BhargavaAnurag
      @BhargavaAnurag  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, its not necessary as you are not doing any schematic level simulations where these discontinuities will affect the results. Its only to create layout so it is fine if you don't use them.

    You've shown us that we can look at the antenna parameter in the far field option but that's only for 1 set of parameters. It is possible to compare for exemple the gain at 2.4 GHz for different values of L automatically, instead of opening the far field view 1 by 1?

    • @BhargavaAnurag

      Not directly unless you perform some kind of scripting.

      Hi Shesha,
      You can refer to this: muehlhaus.com/support/ads-application-notes/functions-in-ads
      Don't worry about the function mentioned here and you can simply use A vs B modeling as shown in one of my videos and simply use S-Parameter of your Antenna as the reference and then optimize the RLC values.
      Hope this helps...

    when i do symbol without EM parameters it work well

    • @BhargavaAnurag
      @BhargavaAnurag  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This simply means you have wrongly attached some parameters that is not properly scaling the geometry. Relook and use 1 parameter at a time to find which parameter is wrong.

  • @AhmedIsmail-sw6so
    @AhmedIsmail-sw6so 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    when i push into symbol (that dose not work) it goes into schematic from which the layout is created ,but when i push into working symbol i go to EM model ,, is the problem that (not working symbol is linked to schematic), i have work on this problem for 1 full day , if do not mind and it is possible sending me your workspace for this lesson so i can compare it with my own.

    Hi
    I have a question not about the video, i think it's so clear for me.
    But what i'm looking for is how to make an adaptive circuit (Broadband Impedance matching lead a complex impedance to 50 Ohm in wide band at 24 GHz ), if you have information or some ADS documents please share with me, it would be helpful
    Thanks a lot for all your interesting videos Mr. Anugrag Bhargava

    • @BhargavaAnurag
      @BhargavaAnurag  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Driss, I am not sure if you watched my other video on Impedance Matching: th-cam.com/video/ZUpuvQqK7ho/w-d-xo.html
      Its bit old but will give you enough pointers to start with. Depending upon your design technology you need to be sensitive to the substrate you select for 24GHz design if you are doing PCB/RF Board kind of implementation. I would recommend to use 10mil substrate with very good Loss Tangent and circuit to be designed using CPW based approach as far as possible.
      Let me know if Impedance Matching video I referred can be of your help.

      Hi @@BhargavaAnurag, Yeah, I saw your old video, i find it so helpful to begin my matching impedance in some other projects that suggest a narrow band matching. In my last project, i already started with Chebychev Method Transformer Impedance but my problem is that method can adapt two real impedances, not a complex impedance to a real one (50 Ohm in our case). Do you have any ideas or ADS tutorials that you can share it with me for broadband matching complex impedances, that's what i'm looking for ?
      Thank you so much

    • @BhargavaAnurag
      @BhargavaAnurag  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@drissaouladhadj4102 I would recommend you to look at Tools->Impedance Matching utility in ADS and here you could choose the type of matching network and define the source and/or load as either S-Parameter files or enter it manually for all the key frequency point. Based on what lumped circuit you come up with, you can use Lumped to a distributed converter to convert L & C to distributed equivalent components. You can get more details on this utility under ADS documentation...
      Another alternate would be to use Keysight Genesys software which has great impedance matching synthesis to design narrow or broadband matching networks and the best part is that you could do both input and output matching networks at the same time...
      Hope this helps...if it doesn't then I will try to create a tutorial in near future once I am done with the current list of stuff I have...👍
