Hey Matt, winning the flat iron and the curling iron would be super cool for my kids at school! I teach at a vocational technical high school in the cosmetology shop and our sophomores are just about to go on the salon floor and they need to purchase such tools. I know that a few would be very grateful for the chance to have a professional tool! I love these techniques. Often we get into bad habits because we already “know” what we are doing. But being reminded to hold things comfortable will help a stylist in the long run and create a better experience for both stylist and client!

Omg I would LOVE the curling iron!!! I'm a newbie to your channel, on my subscribed about a month ago. I've done my own hair for about 40 years, done my daughter's hair most of her 35 years. We both have health problems, resulting in hair loss and I use a curling iron anytime I go out. She has naturally curly hair, and prefers a pony tail, lol!

I donate my hair to locks of love. This is the longest I have let it grow it's insane. I've seen so many DIY vids on how to cut your own hair but honestly don't trust any of them. When I saw yours I was so happy cause it's what I've been looking for, going to try it now! I just took my state board and find out if I passed in just a few days! I’m about to start looking for a job at a salon and I’d love to have new tools! My curling iron is starting to break and my flat iron has started to pull on the hair when creating curls. Love your channel and have learned so much!!❤️

You're an amazing hairdresser, that's how I like my hair cut and how my hairdresser does it. He really went to town on my last cut and it's the nicest cut I've had in years! I love point cutting. The first way that you showed was the way I learned to do it in school. I just graduated from a Paul Mitchell partner school last month. I wish I would’ve seen that big holographic bag at CosmoProf 😍. I was only able to get my hands on a paddle brush with that design. Great video!

Hi Matt ....Thank you so much for posting these videos. I graduated July of 1992 from California Cismetology College in San Jose Ca and I have sooooo been needing Refreshers. T I could definitely use your tools...My Friend Marie's Church will be doing a free event for Women and Men May 31st who are getting out of prostitution and homlessness. We will be going to a local hotel here in Modesto Ca to set up shop for these ladies and men who will be getting free haircuts and new styles to show them that there is grace and mercy to start again. As a stylist , i watch all the time
I really like the point cutting of the side of the blade hitting my hand. I do a lot of afro American hair and they don't like a lot of their hair cut out so just to give it the soft look of the style or Bob cut. I use that technique a lot. Thanks for the techniques.
