    Fulcrum is what popped into my head immediately. I think that's correct

    Just saw an ad for this on Facebook. I'm like "ain't no way this thing is $150 ($25 on sale), and actually works." I might have to look for a real (non scam, because I'm pretty convinced that it is a scam) place to buy one

    Can you use an Impact Wrench? They produce a lot of torque. Or will it damage the screw on this lift?
    Will only a rotary drill work?

    • @SolveFixBuild
      @SolveFixBuild  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      manofsan it says no impact, however I e had to use it. I burned out a drill on this. I got an air drill but sometimes it is too weak for it. Seems to be binding a little somewhere.

      @@SolveFixBuild so what kind of drill is recommended? I'm surprised that an impact wrench can't work, since it's got the most torque. If you could power the lift with an impact wrench, that would be ideal, since you can also use the impact wrench for bolts on the car.

      impact will damage the threaded rod very quickly, I ruined a scissor lift with an impact, the jack seized up and I had to throw it away.@@manofsan

    Did you have any issues with fluid leaking due to tilting the car?

  • @rob12449
    @rob12449 ปีที่แล้ว

    excellent demonstration, so if it can lift 6000 lbs it can handle a car, I was concerned that not being for a "body on frame" it could be dangerous. I guess the concern is that tilted it could slide off?

      ASE Deals, Automotive Service Equipment. You'll need to shop around on price, these guys were lowest when I got it. Seems to fluctuate from $900-$1100

    Do you think it will work on a C3 corvette?

    • @SolveFixBuild
      @SolveFixBuild  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's meant for a unit-body vehicle but you could probably use the steel bar technique I used for any body-on-frame vehicle, provided the frame is taking the load and not the body.

      It has two pads that literally push on the bottom of a unibody car to lift it.
