Dude we love all your reviews and videos but Jase you gotta try the new Rocky Mountain Altitude and the Instinct if you can 🙌🏼 They’ve re designed the rear suspension and the bike just looks amazing 🤩! That Yeti looks nice too 👌🏽
I bought a 2020 Tallboy a few years ago and have put 4000 miles on it after watching a reviews on this channel. Great choice, thanks for your reviews and opinion on bike choice.
Yeah, it’s fun to have such an incredibly different experience than these other shorter travel trail Bikes. I’ve ridden big bikes in the past, the megatower, evil, wreckoning, Pivot Firebird, rocky altitude, IBIS HD5 but this bike is just different. It really can handle a lot of speed and trail.
Most fun I’ve seen you have on a bicycle! I watch all your stuff and love your feedback. My close trails are black and double black techy stuff. Western Colorado. I would love this bike too!
Thank you. I’m glad that came through on the video. I was honestly just blown away with how much fun this bike was. On the slower speed sections of Trail. It’s a lot more work to pump and ride than a trail bike but boy is it a different experience and a lot of fun! I could totally understand why people would put a bike like this in their quiver!
For myself I could also not resist to change from a Ripmo V1 to a HD6 (also DHX2). The confidence boost this bike gives on the steepest and gnarliest trails without much penalties uphill is amazing. Would be interesting to see a comparison to the SB165.
@@mtbyumyum You see, I am very tall, the Ripmo in XL was always on the short side for me, forcing me to sit on top of the bike when going active. With HD6 in size 5 for the first time I have not the feeling to be faster than my bike going downhill. I have also tested the SB160 which for me is only fun in race modus, while HD6 allows this, but is fun' on trails and bikeparks also. Well, you have to weight the front properly, but you get rewards. Despite the fact that this bike is so large I manage to get it much easier through switchbacks than the Ripmo, don't know why - maybe because of mullet + short chain stay? That said, I love the HD6. And I really appreciate your so well made and informative videos, many thanks for that!
That bike looks like a ton of fun but seams like better options if you are peddling uphill at all. Great video! Hey.. how about a 27.5 bike comparison?
Its a Burgtec Stem mate they are prety good quality...maybe they shoulda put a industry 9 on it This bike BTW is almost 18K here in Australia I could never afford one sadly
Wow, yeah. The Ibis bikes come with a industry nine standard that is anodized and shiny. This entire sb165 bike is completely shiny everywhere and then it has this nasty looking stem… I9 would be better
It’s been a while since I’ve ridden that bike, but I would say this feels more long travel more go fast more free ride. And I really like the smaller rear wheel outback as a shorter rider.
If you ride earlier enough in the morning, like I’ve been doing, while the dirt is still frozen, you don’t have to deal with the mud. Otherwise there’s mud everywhere…
The way you are sitting into the bike and way you describe the way it rides. I wonder if you had too soft of a coil? Not sure what coil you had. I missed how you thought it climbed. I wonder if it climbs sort of dull, due to a spring that may have been too light for your weight. I could be wrong though. Just curious. That doesn't look like a turq color, what color is that?
Does this update correspond with the rest of the yeti line up making the rider feel more centered on the bike? The previous yetis (130/150/165) required to weight the front more. I noticed the updated sb165 stil has pretty short chainstays.
Yeah, I would think so. I noticed a big difference going from the 130 to the 140. The 140 felt much more balanced. This 165 also feels very well balanced with a more neutral riding position.
My 11 year old son was the one filming me at the end of the talking portion of the video... that's why my head was sort of cut off lol

The bike rewarded you for pushing it up the hill like “ Aha thanks Jase I’ll take it from here “ 😂!! Awesome bike 👍🏾
Haha thanks!

Wow! Great to hear! Sounds like a blast riding that tallboy all over the place. Good for you!!
Boom a new sb165 out of nowhere! What a sled!
Always appreciate your impressions and your reviews! Would love to hear your impressions of a Nomad vs the sb165.
Awesome to see your perspective on a big enduro bike! I’d be interested to see what you think of some other big bikes. Great video like always!

So, you're loving the HD6?? I'm very curious about the HD6

The SB165 is way too much bike for me. The Yeti ASR or SB120 are more my speed. But, I always enjoy your reviews, so I watched it anyway.
That’s awesome. Thanks! Yeah, it’s a lot of bike
I liked your riding style.
keep uploading review video mate.
Thanks ✌️
Yesss this is what I wanna see!!
🤘👊
We need a live stream. And also the 135 review!!!
Livestream sounds fun…
Thanks again for another great video. You were charging on that bike.
So much fun to ride a big bike like this!
You should demo the Transition Patrol. I live up in Suncrest and ride it on vertigo and Levitate. It is very poppy, fun bike.
Yeah, I sort of forget about that brand because the bikes always feel too long but I need to try some. Thanks for the reminder.🤙
@@mtbyumyum yea I came from a XL Bronson to a Large Patrol.
Great video, thank you.
Glad you liked it!

Hey.. how about a 27.5 bike comparison?
Really, it wasn’t that bad peddling uphill. It’s worth the climb on this bike for the descent. It just wouldn’t be my everyday trail bike obviously
@@mtbyumyum I’ve never ridden a big travel bike. Just seams like it would be like riding through mud peddling but I wouldn’t know
Yeah, they’re a bit slower on moderate trails

When’s the Nomad vs Sb165 vs HD6 comparo video coming?
Cool to see you on flat pedals ;)
Yeah, I try and get on flats every few rides or so… it’s just too easy to ride clipless…
I would like to own a yeti someday. The 165 is too much bike for me though 😂
Haha yeah, me too… I absolutely love my SB140 LR
When are you going to take a look at the Specialized Enduro?
Would love to. Just need to find one to demo…
Uphills performance -> never heard you out of breath like on this review 😂😂🤣😂
😆🤦🏻♂️
Can you ride giant reign, please.
Yeah that Burgtec stem has to go!
13:35 The stem comment could be dialed down a tiny notch 😅
Burgtec upon hearing this. - “Ouch”
Maybe. It just looks cheap on otherwise dialed Bike…
hahaha
How does it compare to an sb150?
It’s been a while since I’ve ridden that bike, but I would say this feels more long travel more go fast more free ride. And I really like the smaller rear wheel outback as a shorter rider.
Exactly what I was going to ask. Thanks!
Have you tried a 160? Comparison on climbing ability of the 160vs140?
No time on the 160… that said, the 140 is an incredible climber for the amount of travel, and it’s capability!
What trails are currently open in Draper? How you riding there?

Think the color is Spruce. I weight 143 lbs this morning… not sure they make a lighter spring than the one I had on this bike…

Thank you!
No turquoise color option. Whoa
Yeah, I thought the exact same thing. Pretty surprised. The spruce or whatever they’re calling this color looks really good though!
Yeti ran out of turquoise paint finally
Do you prefer the old or new SB 165?
I need a new pair of trousers.
You only get one bike, in the Phoenix area - SB165 or Pivot Firebird?
Neither… but between those two, Firebird
@@mtbyumyumnow I’m curious - what’s your one pick from all options ? And I’ll add 98% Phoenix area, 2% lift/park like Big Bear
@@mtbyumyumhow come the Firebird?
Pivot Firebird or SB160?
Sb160
