Gets worse as the song progresses. At several points he screetches as if he's getting probed by aliens. That's between the parts where he fiegns being out of breath and leaves every third word out. Oh wait. There's barking, exaggerated raking of guitar strings and drag queen troubadour posing at the end. Nice touch. Embarrassing. Look up some Counting Crows live concerts. You'll see this stuff gets to extreme levels and people end up leaving your concerts midway.
Stereo Stepchild he’s happy successful and having a blast after 40 years of work. He deserves to sing songs the way he likes to. That’s his style. He was never famous for his voice but rather his lyrics.
