Thanks Bryce. Infinite understanding will always be beyond my finite experience. Thank goodness we have snippets of scriptures and glimpses of eternity to stretch our faith and build our hope.
Thank you Brother Dunford for sharing your knowledge and testimony! You truly have a gift from God weaving together scriptures of the Atonement and quotes that testify just perfectly for us and we feel your love for your Savior as you speak. It’s just exactly what I needed to hear today and felt the love of our Savior through you and your words. Thank you for being such an instrument in Gods hands to touch our lives as we listen to you. I feel strengthened every time I listen to your videos. God bless you Brother Dunford for all you do!
I have learn so much, but I still have questions. President Nelson has asked us to study the Atonement diligently for the rest of our lives and I want to do it. Your teaching has given me perspective. I hope one day my moral mind can start to comprehend this infinite gift from our Savior.
Savior. Redeemer of my Soul. Whose Wondrous power has made me whole... O, God, the Eternal Father, you who has given your son, our Elder Brother. We thank you for the sacrifice you have given onto us, sinners. May we. . .Thank you. I say these things for on behalf of all of those who cannot say it for themselves. Thank you. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Brother Dunford, do you believe the concepts you taught in the last bit of this video apply to other people's sins that affect our lives? Like infidelity...was that the only way, the best way for me to return to my Father in Heaven? Alone, without my spouse? I understand this concept for many, many things - my autoimmune illness, poverty, miscarriage, disability, etc. I am really struggling to understand why surviving infidelity, more than once, would be necessary to my salvation. Do you have any words of wisdom on this?
You are trying to understand your story in the middle of it. Wait until the last chapter. How many great plays make sense in the middle is Act 2?You are not meant to see the full meaning yet. But I stand firm in my testimony that “The time shall come when all shall see the salvation of the Lord; when every nation, kindred, tongue, and people shall see eye to eye and shall confess before God that his judgments are just” (Mosiah 16:1) or in the words of Isaiah, in the end we will all see that the Lord “is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in working” (Isa. 28:29).
@@talkingscripture You're right. None of it makes sense. 33 years of marriage and I understand so little. I am trying so hard to trust God and His plan for me.
When there is no consequence for missing the mark, and no reward for hitting it, there is no motivation because there’s just no point. It’s meaningless.
I'm not sure if I understood your comment clearly. Are yoI saying, you feel when there are no consequences or rewards, then there's no point in trying? If that's your point, I look at it differently. When I fall short of the mark, I know it. I feel it. I regret it to the point that I want to change that behavior and strive not to repeat it because I love the Savior and desire to be more like Him. I can tell when I'm doing His will and He's pleased...and that's the best reward ever!
