What a great video! Thanks so much for the tips. I had never even thought about using a BBQ brush! Your letters look good and white. Very nice. Thanks for sharing. Thumbs up!

Just the video I was looking for. I have those exact tires on my 87 grand national and I recently replaced the 2 front tires and they began to get brown. My 2 rear bfs older but with 80% do not turn brown like my new bfs

Try Black Magic BLECHE- WHITE cleaner on the DRY TIRE .. won't hurt wheels !! - give a little scrub over the letters and whole tire and rinse off.. repeat one more time if they are really bad. DO NOT WET THE TIRE BEFORE SPRAYING ON GENEROUS COAT OF BLECHE-WHITE and giving it a scrub with tire cleaning brush.

I have the same tires on my 87SS. The right side tires were manufactured in Korea, the left side were made in the USA. The Korean made tires turn brown like yours, however, the US made tires never turn brown. Makes ya go hmmmmm.

White letters are coming back, at least on my old chevelle. At 68 years old, wish I’d have kept all my old cars and our generation would have bought more land, instead of fooling with the stock market.

Believe it or not, raised white letters in tires were introduced just to advertise the tire during a racing event later adopted for street cars as a “style”

Don’t use metal, these are thin whit rubber. Use comet or soft scrub. It works great.

New BFG TA's must be completely different than the older ones, and by older I mean only 5 or so years back. I have been buying them for at least 28 years, and I've never had such a bad browning issue as I do now. I have them on an old Buick Skylark, and they look horrible. Really disappointing. One of the only reasons that this tires put on a car is because of the raised white letters. Thanks for the video though, I will try that next. They certainly do look better than brown.
