Great haul and review Nancy 😻 I love the colors, your backgrounds and your review ❤️ thanks for sharing your creativity Hugs xx Have a fabulous weekend Muwah
Thanks Nancy! I have some of those scissors. I do not use them all of the time but when I had injured my thumb they were my friend! Enjoy all the goodies and look forward to what you make with those backgrounds!
These are quite different than the mica stains. Someone described them as being similar to shimmer sprays, and I would agree with that-it's a good comparison.
I got the Distress Spritz set of 12 and the apron bundle from Ranger Ink a few days ago. Weathered Wood looks very blue in the bottle (to me) and it was indeed blue when I sprayed it on a black background, but it dried a silver/grey color. I'm not sure I like them. I prefer the Distress Mica Stains.
I, too, picked up this set and found the Twisted Citron...well, twisted (more like Carmel Apple....lol). lol I'm a big Tim Holtz fan, so to say that these didn't meet my expectations is hard to do but they did not. I'm not sure what I was expecting. I did like them better when applied over the matching oxide ink but I feel like you culd achieve the same results using a clear shimmer spray. At any rate, I have them so I will use them. Thanks for your review! Can't wait to see your projects.
I've found that they really work more as a finishing shimmer spray than a medium in and of themselves. The micas match the Distress colors, which is, of course, unique to Ranger. Shimmer sprays are readily available, but these sprays that directly match the Distress line, of course, are new. Like you, I have them, so I'll use them, but for a mica shimmer, I prefer the mica sprays.
@@handiscandi I agree. I'll just continue to use what I have over the matching distress oxide colors and call this one a lost. It happens. And I guess that's the cost we pay sometimes for wanting the lastest and the greatest. 😅
Hi Nancy, I was wondering how different these sprays were in comparison to his other mica sprays. I’m still playing and trying to figure them out. Thanks for demonstrating them!
Great review!! Sounds like they are similar to Shimmerz Sprays, only in distress colors!! TFS
I think maybe, yes. Maybe a bit more pigmented..? Do you think you'll get some?

Thank you so much! I need to play with these babies quite a bit more before I understand them better.
Good morning! Back to watching…..
Turned out nice.

I'm not sure I'm loving the scissors, tbh. Need to play with them a bit more as well. try not to make snap decisions about anything.
@@handiscandi those scissors are good if you have strength issues. I would keep them if I were you but use them as your back up.😁
Nice haul! I’m still getting used to the distress mica stain sprays, but these beautiful!

What are your thoughts so far? I still need to play and learn more. And I only swatched and played a bit - not a demo cuz idk what I am doing. Lol.
Hhhhhmmmmm thanks for showing these.
What are your thoughts? I'm still undecided. Need to play and learn more.
@@handiscandi I’m not sure I like the way they cover. I have a ton of mica so maybe I will do a play.
