I have an old friend that always says that you should never buy the 1st lot of a new model from pretty much any kind of product. We’ve always had that “naaah.. how bad can it be?” reaction to it. But then you hear these stories and old people start making a lot of sense.
I have late-June built 24. No issues. The one thing I wish Harley would do: Reduce the sensitivity of the touch-screen in Rain Mode. Rain shouldn't change my music channel.
Sorry to hear about all your problems. The problem with the new bikes are they are just built cheaper than previous models. The motors in the new ones seem to be the best part of the bike. These new ones run completely off a computer screen and is reliant on the battery to send the correct voltages to it. If the battery does not it causes the bike to go haywire. The battery has to be fully charged and working properly to send those correct voltages. I absolutely do not want one of these new ones. I’m keeping my 23 Roadglide-ST. That screen goes out you are down a bike and that’s a 4000 dollars screen. If you brick the screen with a corrupt update you need a whole new screen. I’m curios how the longevity of these new bikes are going to last down the road. People wanted a cheaper bike and Harley delivered on that promise. The new ones are not as nice as previous models. Good luck to you.
I hate to hear you’re having so many issues! I have 24 RG whiskey fire as well. I picked it up from cowboy Harley in Austin TX. The only issue I’ve ever had was it losing Bluetooth connectivity. Other than that the bike has been flawless and I’ve taken solo rides to OKC, New Orleans, Ft. Liberty and Ft Sil. Hope the new battery is the last of your issues!
Hey man. I got a new RG. Had problems as well. I also had the squeaky forks. The dealer called Harley and they overnighted the cartridges and told the dealer to not disassemble them and send them back. Needless to say the dealer replaced them and no issue since. But I am having some buggy behavior due to low voltage. My theory is the sales people show those bikes all day. Turn them on and off and they tender them. They sit around and the battery goes low or dead. Tell the dealer about the shocks though. It’s a know issue.
I bought my 2024 street glide back in July and I killed the battery “less than 500 miles” by not being in ‘transport mode’. I’ve not had one bet of trouble since then with just over 3k miles now. I did buy the extended warranty just in case.
Alot of this sounds like a similar issue when I went to buy my 24. They had installed the slipons, and when they went to start the bike...nothing. needless the dealer had another 🥃🔥 that ive been riding and loving. On the initial bike i wanted, it ended up needing a complete wiring harness replacement.
No, but with 8K mi I've had the screen go black except for the speedometer, warning notice saying unit not responding, stereo taking it time to figure out what it's suppose to do and my voltmeter fluctuating. but it has never stranded me. so far.😏
Ok first this is a video from Hengshot rides channel. And second this was almost 8 months old and he hasn’t had an issue since so this is a very disingenuous post

Yeah.... those crappy computers always need a CTRL-ALT-DEL.

Wow, that's a lot for a new bike. Hope it works good now. Harley probably outsource some critical works outside.
I have a whiskey fire 2024, and only issue after 1,500 miles is my turn signals are turning off early before I finish my turn.
NOCO does 35% off for military. Those batteries are awesome.

Not being in "transport mode" has been an owner issue for a long time. 😂

Go trade that thing in on the Indian Chiefton
Why are you stealing Hegshot's content?
I didn't even realize it wasn't Hegshot posting 🙄
You paid how much for this bike? Don’t you think paying that much, you should not have any problems? Yeah, that Indian ain’t sounding too bad now.
