    ProLite Gear gives an overview of screamers (Dynema vs. Nylon vs. reusable) and then tests a DMM Screamer to see what forces are required to get it to rip.

    Just so you know, a fall from the bolt with two feet of slack is not a four foot fall. It's a two foot fall. A four foot fall would occur if the climber was two feet above the bolt. Regardless, thanks for demo-ing these on video!

      I believe the belayer was also feeding out 2ft of slack.

    cool video. I'm guessing just about any real-world fall onto a screamer is going to rip. Do you know of any instances of climbers taking any kind of fall on lead and it not activating?

    I hope that bolt is attached to something more solid than plywood

      You have a steel backing behind plywood, standard climbing gym practice.
