If you have a BMW that has transmission malfunction, drivetrain malfunction warning, loss of power, slipping transmission, and hard time starting the car or the car does not want to start in this video we will explain what often can cause that on BMW. We were driving when all at sudden I got transmission light and transmission malfunction, drivetrain malfunction, the transmission started acting funny and the car lost power. When I stopped and turned the car off I had a hard time starting the engine. The BMW cranked for a long time and finally started but it did not run right. Hello boss's.. I have this error comming. Chassis countinue the journey t a moderate speed. This came after ai have changed the front adaptive shock absorber on the front. They are ftermarket. Do you hve any ideea?

I have a 07 bmw328i sedan.its slow to get out of first gear but then is smooth when it gets going up until 4th gear im guessing? Right around 70-80 mph,rpm keep climbing close to 3000 and doesn't come back down to below 2000 so i dont know if 4th gear is out..any advice would be appreciated

Sometimes it comes and after shutdown the car it disappears , but it never left me alone , it comes maybe once a month with daily driving but no luck in the dealership to fix it
I get the same issue on rare occasions maybe once or twice a month the code is pressure too high, but then it goes away once I reset the car and then it will be fine for a couple weeks
I tried getting the turbo to boost, maximal pressure, and the ending no issues but when I drive it normally sometimes it’ll pop up any ideas I want to replace the pressure solenoid, but not sure if that’s what’s causing it since there’s not often
Do you have a Video on an Inactive Oil Level sensor 2EA1? Oil level sensor is new.

HI, I HAVE A 2011 BMW 328i convertible, the 2 codes I am getting on the car is P0335 & P1727 the car take a few seconds to start but will run fine with the codes, stalled in a corner going 5mph once but it will still run. I replaced the CPS using your video, it started but ran real rough for a minute then idled fine for 2 min I turned the car off and tried to start it but now it will not start No codes are present and the RPM is reading fine on my scanner. I watched this video and took apart the entire car again to double check everything was put back correctly and it was. I put my old sensor back in and now the car runs fine with the same 2 original codes P0335, P1727. What do you think is the issue? New sensor wont run with no codes present, Old sensor will run with 2 codes present P0335, P1727

I shifted my My 2005 x5 into reverse and it was struggling like I was on the brake. Then the 4x4 light and abs light came on as well as what I think is the tire pressure gauge. Any thoughts?
had that issue as well. MAF sensor needed changed and tire sensor.

When the car is driving about 40 mph, & if I want to speed up & pass a another car, or take a steep hill it chokes it makes a chocking sound . It takes a long time for the momentum by the time it's gets up to 70 or 80 mph it's time for me to slow down again I just had the transmission serviced I just had a new alternator put in I don't know what the problem is I have a 2005 X5 BMW thank you for your help I'll be waiting for your answer since you're the best channel for BMWs on TH-cam
Sounds like a misfire to me change your spark plugs

It's my transfer case in my transmission I need a new transfer case but that is so many different dimensions when you dealing with a BMW but it's the transfer case/transmission it sucks so I just bought a new BMW haha

I have a 2014 x5. Sometimes when I accelerate around the 20mph mark, my car does not speed up. It feels lagging but will then eventually start moving. No engine lights no warning. Any idea?
check your spark plugs and ignition coils
And also check your air filter, gas filter and pump, if your pump is clogged up it will cause you to loose power before you get a warning

I have the same issue with my 2011 BMW 750i - transmission malfunction and 4x4 stabilization light came on. Went to the mechanic to get it diagnosed and he told me I have to rebuild the transmission. I’m not a mechanic but I’ve owned many BMW’s before and I doubt that’s the fix. I reset by turning off/on the ignition. I’ve been driving car for almost 3 weeks with no issue. I know eventually issue will reappear. Please advise. Should I rebuild transmission to fix issue or get a second opinion????

By simply turning the car off and on when code pops up on dash or have a mechanic reset code with code reader

I had that problem months after I bought my f10 550. Transmission malfunction. I pull over turn the car off let it sit for some minutes and it's back on drive ok
2011- 323i. The transmission stopped working. I pulled up at a traffic light and when the light changed I tried to accelerate and the car would not move. Just before this happened I heard a pop and thought a tire had burst. The car would not go forward or reverse. Had to get the car towed. No warning lights or engine codes and the car was running fine up to the stop light. The problem was an axle shaft had disconnected completely from a recently installed differential.
Same thing happened to me, im sittinf on the side of a highway with my bmw😂, if you fixed the problem can you tell me what it was and how it got fixed?

Thanks a lot, great video. My X3 is having this issue, but the drive terrain warning comes only when I come to a stop and the auto start/stops the car and starts again, after this the warning goes off. If I turn auto start off it does not come. Can’t understand what the issue is.

My transmission light came on but I didn't lose power it just wasn't shifting and when I started it back up again the warning light was off and it drove fine. When the light first came on and it wasn't shifting I tried putting it in sport mode to down shift and it wouldn't go....... please help me figure out what's wrong!

Same problem here! I start the car and the warning light is off and I can drive it about 15 minutes to work without it coming on, but then I start again and go five minutes down the road to lunch and then it turns on in the car basically get stuck in 4th

No, the only way to access the sensor is by removing the intake manifold. It’s a extremely poor location for any sensor especially the crankshaft position sensor and starter. Should have been located at front of the engine.

I just got a 2009 bmw X5 derive48i v8 and I put regular gasoline then transmission mail fictions started to happen, then I put premium gasoline and it worked for a while. Until I put other brand of gasoline started to happen again , goes driving the suddenly loose power reduces the speed and the message on the screen appear Transmission damage or malfunction. Any tips how solve this problem, I really appreciate.

It's driving okay now I let my mechanic drive it he said it's a four-wheel drive and it's supposed to do that but basically he gave my car a good health report I'm used to driving Cadillacs I never had a all-wheel drive before thank you for your response

I have a 2010 550i Gt and it’s doing the same thing. Except when I first turn it on it’s already shaking saying drivetrain malfunction. We’ve changed the spark plugs, coils and computer and the issue is still there. Any help ? Thank you !
Your side rails it's not always the drivetrain the BMW engine has something called side rails check that out I have the X5 but most of the BMW engines are pretty much the same

You can try changing the Mass Air Flow sensors or do just what the gentleman explained in the video. See if the Crankshaft Position Sensor is connected.

I have a 2010 x5 e70 diesel and every time im at highway speeds and try to speed up it cuts out and says transmission malfunction also when im at regular roads speed and i gun the suv and it cuts out or when im entering the highway, i have changed the alternator , i have 2 batteries, i have done a dpf delete. New ground cables. Just before it malfunctions. The rpm starts to bounce but only at high speeds. It seems the transmission doesn't gear down before going to a higher gear to go faster..i always have to pull over and turn off the suv and restart...any help?

I took it to a repair shop witch they only repair bmws and the owner has the same suv like mine and he said that all the transmissions are like this even his bmw and if you change the transmission , in like 3 months you will have the problem again...he said something that the transmissions are made in china and are not good...i went to bmw dealership and they told me that all the e70s have this problem. I tried to drive it in manual on the highway and it still gave me a " transmission malfunction "..what i want to know is that why bmw did not have a fix for this or even a recall because they just replace a bad transmission with a bran new bad transmission..i just take my time speeding up slowly in the slow lane..thats all i can do.

@@tazmaniandiva7762 my bmw is charging at only 12volts, so i had to add another battery to " trick" the computer to charge the battery at 14volts, my bmw x5 diesel will always die in the winter because of the battery not being charged enough and it wont start but will crank..after adding 2 battery's the problem went away.
I fucking hope this is what’s wrong with my car. It started to lose power on the freeway and at stops. Now it won’t start. I have to pick it up from the mechanic right now cause they can’t fix it. Imma take it apart and see if that’s the problem.

Hi I have a 2010 BMW 528. I received the same error when turning on the car " transmission Malfunction" but when I clear the error the cars runs fine. its just when I start the car I get the error. I ran the diagnostic check and nothing related to the transmissions with error codes. any suggestions?
Check your Battery or IBC ECU on mass pole. Had same issue with old battery if IBC is online - CODE THE BATTERY CHANGE properly, otherwise your car will think that you still have old and it will prevent battery to charge as needed and will block the charging cycles..
@rostislavchrysochou8218 that would make sense since there i have received a battery drain when turning on the car. Also, I did get a new bmw computer scanner, and it did give me an error 4E22 electronic pressure control valve 3. Might be time replace transmission fluid.

Hey, Auto repair guy I have a 2007 bmw 650i convertible car will runs fine but at idle or at slow speed the car will shut off and sometimes want start right away and sometimes it will start right away seem like it not getting power when it won't start and multiple dash lights come on but after sitting for 15 to 30 minutes it will start and run fine until it happens again a bmw specialist look at it but can't figure out what wrong with it can u give me some ideas of what could be going on this is frustrating
Did you have any heavy rains recently? Or does it act up only after a rain storm?

@@cbravo1122 yes i did have a rain storm that's when it does it the most every time its rain the car start to act up the cutting off part.
There is a connection above the transmission oil pan. Spray some electrical connection on there. It seems water is making your connection bad. I had this issue.

Hi, i have a 2009 BMW X5 3.0 with a similar issue. After major flushed engine with new oil and filter replaced. You start the engine and immediately shows up "LOW PRESSURE OIL" and you start test driving. After a 1km or so, the engines shuts down and goes to neutral. After that the engine does not start. What it could be the problem? It happened twice
X5s are known for having a oil leak with inside of the engine you won't always see oil on the floor but I had to replace my gasket and a gasket cover and it stopped the problem
I'm sorry I meant to say valve cover it's the thing that holds the oil in the car have someone check your valve cover valve cover assembly

BMW 09 335i owner here. Car was driving fine for half the day then all of a sudden I get the trans malfunction warning on the center screen. Car starts to lose power I cannot go over 20 mph when I do the car will overheat, the screen console turns off, and windshield wipers turn on. As soon as I take the foot off the gas the wipers stop and screen console turns back on.
When switching from Drive to Parking I hear a rough sound. Any thoughts? Thanks.

@@coreysergent8581 Yeah, the day all of this happened I was able to make it home driving about 10 mph. In the morning the car was dead. Battery was drained completely. Tried giving it a charge but no luck. Battery was dead. Since the battery was dead I knew it had to be the alternator. If alternator goes then it won't be able to charge the battery. So the alternator was the problem.

Did you get help with this? We had to reset the transmission for it to shift but it keeps happening. We can still drive as long as we reset.
