In new devices audio focus cuts out muffles the sound coming from the surrounding and only Focuses on what you're trying to record. Someone said this in a comment section of before LP live from zero tour video. Said the crowd was soo loud that he went deaf but on the phone it was muffled.

As a vocalist she’s decent. The new stuff sounds good I have to admit, but I can’t listen to her sing the old songs. I think I’m just going to listen to them on Apple Music with Chester’s vocals. She really butchers some of the old songs. Sorry, but that’s how I feel.

There’s only one Chester, there would never be someone they could get to fill those shoes and meet those expectations. If you prefer that kind of singing, there’s always that “hybrid theory” cover band, that singer it’s more that style if you want to check that out. They’re pretty good.
