When it was leaked that LP opted for a woman as lead singer, I was thinking they were truly genius - completely discontinuing with the past (I mean, Chester's legacy), avoid pinking a male singer with all the comparison that would have happened, but.. but, I do believe simply the should have: 1. Opted for a 20s talent, to "pomp" new energy in the band. You want to restart? Cool, add some fresh energy. You need someone willing to win, and win hard. 2. The tone of the voice. I am not commenting on the talent of the new singer; however, it is clear that - and again, with all the respect - her voice is not "unique" nor the best vocals out there. Personally, I would have considered female singer closer to the metal scene, with a more "aggressive voice" - I mean, at least veterans on screaming - and with an amazing melodic clean voice. It would have been a devastating combo. Ok, in this way you do not get the energies of a young talent, but still.. Just all like all of us here, I wish them all the very best; however, the current quality cannot match the "past" IMHO.

@@markw4487 She can. Way back shortly after she started her band she said she kept blowing her vocals because she wasn't doing it correctly. So she had lessons from a professional vocal coach and that's what it was. So she was taught how to bring it from her diaphragm correctly. Most of her screams are a distortion technique she's pretty much always used a lot.
She’s growing on me little by little I still can’t get over Chester’s passing he will forever be in my mind his music but I’ve accepted the fact that Emily is the vocalist now and I really like her raspy scream
That's the thing, embracing and accepting that LP is back has nothing to do with taking Chester for granted. He will ALWAYS be LP's voice and soul, but moving on is a part of keeping that legacy alive.

@@CitizenOfMuse You weren’t there. I could barely see or hear Mike and Emily because the whole stadium was going ballistic and you could even hear the crowd chanting in the nearby buildings too. Remember that this a footage, so the audio is mixed to the point where you can only hear the crowd in specific moments and you only get glimpses of what it was in the crowd.
People really missed them, now with this album and Emily has her own songs made for her and she can perform them better because of course she doesn't have to 'replicate' the sound of Chester on the old songs, really helps a lot
I'm proud of them for contuining and being happy, but I wouldn't say they are back, This is a great Guano Apes replacement, but it can't reach the highs they had with Chester.

Hearing the audio from previous concerts on my headphones, I have the impression Emily's mic needs more bass and Shinoda's needs more treble. This generally speaking makes high and low pitch sounds (such as female and male voices) "shine" more in the mix.

Thank you LP for giving us Emily as a new addition to LP...now look what you've done... another #1 album. Few bands have been able to come back after the passing of their lead... except bands like acdc...journey...etc it's just not as easy feat and LP did it without replacing Chester..they went and got them a CRAZY female lead..I cant think of anyone better to join mike. Dead sara is extremely underrated btw.

"From Zero" is so good that you've got to give props to Mike and the band. Chester was obvs an incredible singer but the band wasn't all about him. It was about the songs and how they affected us growing up. The writing and production of the albums has always been amazing and that's mostly down to Mike and his skills sitting at a mixing desk. They're doing what they've always done with a different, equally great singer. I love every version of this band.

Seeing live footage of Linkin Park playing in 2024 around the world is everything. It's so overwhelming as a fan to witness this. Being at a show would be absolutely incredible! I couldn't imagine how you guys feel getting to do what you love again. I couldn't be happier that you're back and you all look so happy too. Well deserved, you're all amazing!! 💙

Few bands have been able to come back after the passing of their lead... except bands like acdc...journey...etc it's just not as easy feat and LP did it without replacing Chester..they went and got them a CRAZY female lead..I cant think of anyone better to join mike.

"From Zero" is so good that you've got to give props to Mike and the band. Chester was obvs an incredible singer but the band wasn't all about him. It was about the songs and how they affected us growing up.
The writing and production of the albums has always been amazing and that's mostly down to Mike and his skills sitting at a mixing desk. They're doing what they've always done with a different, equally great singer. I love every version of this band.
