This is one of the simplest prop they have done, but one of the best looking, and most useful! Great job!

I made a high quality norwegian police badge for a movie project, but it gave me lots of trouble with the police...
were they jealous that your badge was cooler looking? :D
Note: With the 1992 law you can do this, but there are stipulations from the Secret Service. 1. You cannot print on both sides of the paper (So no double sided bills). 2. The final bill has to be 25% smaller than a regular bill or 50% larger. 3. The negatives that contain the image/illustration must be destroyed after use.

These are true professionals. I like this approach to making fake currency. This is exactly what I was looking for.
Also, instead of tan dye, you can use tea bags to color your paper. And, if their template is not realistic enough for you, you can create your own using graphics found on Google.

this of course works great, but i have another way. go on Amazon and get a full print prop money stack or two. take out the individual dollars (2 to be exact) and put one on the top of your paper template, and the other on the bottom. now you will end up with 50 stacks and you did less work for about the same amount of money. plus the ones from prop movie money look fantastic and are completely legal, so no trouble with the law. both will work of course, and the choice is completely yours, just thought that would work better for some people. hope this helps :)
Hey there! I have seen that most bills used in movies are marked with some kind of disclaimer (usually on one side and not the other) that the bills are not legal tender, as to prevent the money from being used to obtain goods under false pretenses and to ensure that no one thinks you are running a counterfeiting operation. Are there laws surrounding the creation of prop money (ie must they in some way to marked as non-legal tender)? I ask this because I wish to create hundreds of bills for the purpose of burning them in a short film clip but do not wish to violate any US laws. Thanks for the video and hope you can provide some insight on this matter!

I may be a little late with this tip but I was able to save a lot of time by printing on sketchbook paper instead of standard printing paper. It's closer in color and you don't have to age it as much, if at all.
