Playing a wild magic bugbear barbarian who got his fey magic by eating a satyr who himself was infused w magic, and thanks to a voracious metabolism, the bugbear is indefinitely altered

For the d3, the easy way is to just roll a d6 and divide the result by 2, rounded up.

Cool video dude. The anticipation for Tasha’s Cauldron is getting bigger every day.

It's always good to have a class that keeps the DM on their toes when a player simply attacks with their character :)

    Half-orc lvl12 barb (w.m), 5 fighter(brute), 3 cleric (war) great weapon fighting=epic melee machine with magic abilities!

I personally love this subclass. Especially with a 3 level dip into pact of the chain warlock for a sprite familiar and Armor of Agathys on short rest. Play a frost Eladrin for flavor and to play into the AoA + Rage combo. Angry ice elf with a equally angry sprite

In Ravnica, playing this as a fire or water genasi to be an Izzet Weird would be a lot of fun, I think.

Kinda thought weirds would be something like living spells. I think is the name of what I'm talking about. But I do like your concept. Lol

    • @prophetisaiah08

@@DracosDiabolis Yes and no, they are elementals that are either intentionally or accidentally the byproduct of Izzet magical experimentation. Some are intelligent enough to gain sentience. As a DM, I'd rule that the player's creature type should be elemental instead of humanoid, but otherwise let it go as written.

    • @DracosDiabolis
      @DracosDiabolis 4 ปีที่แล้ว

@@prophetisaiah08 yep. I would say as a background you started out as a living spell and gained sentient. Now your off Adventuring or on the run from the Izzit League. Depending on if you know ir or not.
Oh what fun this could be.

@@DracosDiabolis This would be a lot of fun, especially if your character inherits the intelligent but reckles chaotic neutral nature of the Izzet. WEEEEE BOOM!

@@prophetisaiah08 get those braces of illusions and make a magic missiler Lmao. Chaos Bolt!!??!!
"Eh Eh, I solve most problems with spells."
More of a dark humor edge to the "I cast magic missile into the darkness!"
Oh damn..... a "weird" wild surge barbarian wizard slayer. He hunts down and kills Izzit League members for creating him/her.
      Spitballing ideas here

I'm playing a 4th level (blue) dragonborn wild magic barbarian in a one-off tomorrow. I gave him the Dragon Hide feat as well. I like the idea of a barbarian that has lightning breath, retractable claws and freaky random magic effects in his rages to just make for fun surprising battle combinations. Running into the middle of a fight and nobody knows if he's going to slash, crackle or pop! 😂

Playing this as a fairy barbarian. He's the size of a horse fly but when he attacks with his morning star the weapon appears full size during the swing. It amuses me.

I’m not too big on this subclass. The wild surges are great at level 3 but they fall off pretty fast and they never scale. In addition to not being super powerful you don’t get any say in the ability you’ll get until high levels meaning you could easily be stuck with a lane ability for an entire combat.

  • @arturohernandez8789

I love the flavor of this subclass but dislike how it falls off at later levels. Still for lower levels this subclass will be hella fun.

What do you mean?? At level 13 I believe if you get imperiled while raging you can roll agian on the w.m die and add that ability to the stack of abilities! Because it says until our rage ends.

Idk about this version. I just found out about it a few weeks ago. But I like the UA version more. Though both, when compared, have pros and cons

I really hope they buff that subclass in the final version as that version with no level scaling whatsoever to it's core ability is just woefully underpowered.

Magic Awareness is literally detect magic, just not a spell so you can use it while raging.
