    My black mesh one just arrived, Im so happy Ive taken a chance with this chair. Ive literally never sat this comfortable, never had a chair with this many customizing options. Granted Ive only had Office Chairs at work in the range between 600 and 900 Euros. Ive also got it for 430 euros instead of the retail 550, the site I preordered it from had the wrong price listed. Only minus point would be that the armrest doesnt lock.

    The armrest sliding so easy has to be a fault, I sat in one at a local store and one side was loose like yours and the other side was rather tight and required a fair bit of force to move it forwards and back. As you said it is strange there is no locking mechanism for this movement.

    • @Aerithos

      I believe it should just be tighter & not rattle. Im using a steelcase gesture (which retails as 2x the price of the refine) and it has a comparable arm rest slide mechism, albeit the track its on is tight so it won't move from your elbow pressing/sliding on it.

      Hello there!
      Thank you so much for your feedback-I really appreciate it!
      Regarding your question, the top of the armrest can actually be easily removed with just one screw underneath. Once removed, there are two additional screws that can be tightened slightly. I did try this to answer your question, but unfortunately, tightening the screws doesn’t seem to affect the rattling sound. My guess is that the components that make up the armrest and the adjustability mechanism may need to be more precisely cut or refined to make it sturdier and eliminate the rattling sound.

    Hey Niklas 🙂
    Thank you for the nice video.
    One question regarding the synchronize mechanism:
    Does it have forward tilt as well or just backrest tilt?
    I mean, does the seat synchronize your movmement when leaning forward or sidewards?
    Do you feel any pressure on your legs, if you sit a longer time on the chair?
    Thank you in advance 🙂

    • @plejground

      Hi Eleonora! 🙂
      Good question!
      The chair does not have forward tilt for the seat itself. So it basically only synchronizes with your movement as you lean back. However, Fractal has a mechanism they call “synchro-tilt,” which means that both the backrest and the seat move in tandem as you lean back. It actually feels very nice, like the backrest hugs your back even during recline. Check out their website if you want a more visual representation of the movement. They have a short video demonstrating it. But no, no forward tilt for the seat itself. 🙂
      In terms of pressure on my legs, this is probably one of the most comfortable seats I’ve tested so far. There is padding under the mesh on the front part of the seat, which is the area that, at least in my experience, usually causes some fatigue and pressure during long sessions. I’ve felt none of that during the days I’ve used this chair.

    Hello Niklas! Great review. I do have a question about the chair: how does the armrest feel when you recline the seat? does they slide back or remaing in place? Im worried about the slidiness of the armrests in various positions.
    Also, the seat seems pretty "short" in depth compared to other chairs. It is noticeable?

    • @plejground

      Hi there! Thanks a lot for the kind words :) Regarding your questions. I haven’t actually had any issues with the armrests moving as I lean back in the chair. As for the seat depth, I’m 190 cm tall and have adjusted it to the maximum length, which is almost perfect for me. Do keep in mind that the depth differs slightly between the mesh version and the fabric version, with the latter being a bit shorter. Also, since I’m relatively slim (83 kg), I do believe the seat depth can probably feel a bit short if you have a more muscular lower body.

    • @Roccosiffredo93

      @@plejground Thanks for your answer Niklas. Much, much appreciated. I'm kinda similar (1.86 per 100kg) and this is reassuring, i was worried for the depth!
      Do you kinda regret getting the mesh version? Some people says that the fabric is more comfortable, but i like the mesh more since they're more breathable and adapt to your body.
      Do you find the chair comfortable overall? I'm coming from a noblechair hero so basically a racing type seat.

      Hi! I think it's a bit hard to say how the mesh material will hold up over time. However, it does feel like very high quality, in my honest opinion. Sitting in it while wearing shorts and having direct contact with your skin can feel a bit sticky, so you should be prepared for that if you go with this chair, especially if you're wearing shorter shorts. Tjena Johnny!

    Fabric or mesh?

    • @plejground

      I would say it’s a matter of personal preference. Personally, I haven’t tried the fabric version, but from what I’ve read from others who have bought it, it seems to be a bit firmer than the mesh version - which can be both good and bad. I’ve seen some people mention that if you’re a bit heavier, the fabric version might actually be preferable. However, it’s worth noting that the seat on the fabric version is slightly shorter than on the mesh version. If possible, the safest option is probably to test it in-store, since we’re all built differently and have different preferences. :)
      Personally, I’ve completely switched to mesh because it breathes so well, and you can sit for long periods without it getting too warm.

    Soooo, is it comfortable to sit on for prolonged periods of time? Why do chair reviewer miss the most basic aspect of sitting in a chair. Talk at length about arm rests and don’t mention the primary function.

      @@Krisdt8 For me personally, it has been super comfortable to sit in for extended periods of time. I haven’t experienced any fatigue or discomfort at all. To be honest, it’s one of the most comfortable office chairs I’ve ever used for prolonged sessions of work.

      @@plejground thanks Niklas, I appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. I’m really interested in this chair but couldn’t find any opinions on the actual seat itself. One to consider.

      Yes, I totally agree about the lack of resistance in the backward and forward motion. It is quite a bummer to be honest. Hopefully, they will address this issue soon, so that the upcoming versions won't have this problem.

      I believe the company that manufactures the components for the chair is called Donati, as I noticed their name/logo on the underside of the seat.
