My Go-To Immortal Open World Mesmer | Build Guide GW2 2024

- Hey everyone i felt that it would be best to do a standalone video instead of include it in the zero-to-hero series, This is definitely my go-to mesmer build for challenging content when i want to solo group events or legendary bounties during off-peak hours when its hard to find people running.
There are better builds that exist, however i feel this is safe enough to keep you out of trouble, while damaging enough to not fail the timers.

No problem! I don't typically do open world videos but people seem to love them. I'll eventually have some version of this on the z2h account.
If i were to replaace all the gear with Vipers stats do you think this build is viable to take into other pve content. or maybe i should get a gearset ready for virtuoso that seems so strong w the 100% crit chance condi build lol.
i do really like the mirage though
@xFazB uh, the build would be pretty different. There is a condi mirage build but I think it's pretty rough rotation wise, not sure of the gear for it. My go to is CVirtuoso, definitely the best all around cdps build if you aren't looking to get sweaty.

The 2nd set of weapon I used rifle and I put some AR resist on mine and just soloed a T3 Chaos myself! Nice build man!
Nice! I haven't tried fractal solos but I can imagine if any build could do it this one could.
Try core mesmer with scepter & grieving stats ;) If you want more survivability you take illusions & signets for unlimited distortion
Thats almost. My open wolrd build, I can confirm, cannot be killed XD I did every bounty on pof a soloed most hero points in hot
Yeah I was like "ive never soloed these bounties but I bet I can" wasn't even hard tbh
Yeah i always have staff mirage on my Mesmer, but it's definitely unnecessary and even suboptimal for the majority of open world activities. When in a small group or solo fighting something actually hard, it's incredible. But the reality is the majority of the time, burst is nice to kill trash and tagging ability is nice when the group is large enough. While I definitely recommend staff mirage for people when solo on anything difficult, I would highly recommend playing something burstier for the majority of the time in the open world. Power mirage is my favourite with greatsword and a dagger-sword personally!
Power chrono is what I've been running on the Z2H account. I didn't boost so no immortal mirage yet
Is never played mesmer before except unlocking mirage for pof weapon collection, but like a month ago i decided to run around hot hero points to unlock virtuoso and it just soloed everything, and i didnt even have good gear, youre just dodging until everything dies 🤣
Not trying to be a smartass but it appears that almost all of these immortal builds revolve around full or mostly celestial gear. I guess it makes sense given the nature of the stats.
Like, you could almost blindly pick traits and still be decently effective. I guess some specs benefit more from cele than others but you would still have a tanky build with acceptable damage.
I used this with full Viper's before but have gone with cele elsewhere recently for open world (untamed/scourge) and it does smooth things out.

Yeah it's mostly because that's the stats booster gear uses. It also helps with boon uptime as well. Almost all classes have a Cele build that works out well.
How critical do you think the nightmare runes are? I've been trying to lean more into traveler because I find the 25% movement speed in open world helps; although I do realize the need to get a bit extra damage as we know this isn't exactly topping DPS meters.
I mean you can try it if you like it run it. I'd say nightmare or torment runes are probably the best dps/survivability. But it can't hurt, if you run into dps problems like running out of time then you know what to change
Is there a reason why Rune of the Nightmare is preferred over Trapper? I don't see anywhere mirage puts out fear and its kind of a pain to get Nightmare vs Trapper....
Trapper works fine. I'm not sure what is better overall but if you have trapper it should work

@lionmeows eh, at some point I decided to balance the content I wanted to make vs chasing analytics. Ultimately I make videos that are relevant, and hopefully add value, this was a response to a user which didn't fit in a separate video series; but helped with upload frequency overall. And +8 subscribers. The video you reacted to did extremely well, partially because of the emotional nature, and partially because larger creators or creators like yourself with a different target audience gave exposure to it. Making one-offs like that are something I plan on doing more, but at some point you gotta give your core audience what they want as well. It's a balancing act, you know marketing better than I do for sure, but I'm not sure I'm interested in hyperanalyzing my analytics.
