    WOW! Very impressive solution Tom-I must say that I have transferred all my Evernote notes to apple notes and am finding it frictionless and fit for purpose.

    Hi. Thanks for the great tip. I tried following the steps on your video, but got stuck on the part where you append the name to the note and cannot get my scrip to work. Can you please share with us the shortcut you've created?

      I have the same issue. My script stops for every file and forces in a dialog to choose ´new note ˋ by pressing done. What’s wrong here?

    Thanks, I am trying to learn as much about Apple Notes as possible because of the without notice 85% price increase in my Evernote subscription. I’m moving over to Apple Notes.

      I am considering this but as always the issue is not getting a lot of files INTO Notes but OUT of notes if required

      @@robertlee7605the people who made the Bear app have s little program that exports apple notes. They give it out for free.

    After upgrading my MacOS, iOS and iPadOS to the newest version, all the notes created this way are titled "Attachment". Is there a way to re-name them as the file names?

      Same here... :( Any Tips? - edit: all pdf's got the title "attachment" - pictures or videos create a note with their file name...

      @@KlausRiedel Same here. I'm at a loss. How do you simply name the Note with the file name of the PDF you imported?

    Great solution! Do you know though how to import to apple notes your old mixed notes in Evernote? By mixed I mean with text and pdfs files on the same note. Following the usual export from Evernote doesn’t seem to work with pdfs.

    Helpful. Thank you! I will definitiv try this. I just thought, is it possible to add the file extension as #Tag? That’s way I could filter all notes with a video, or all notes with pdf ..

      Great idea! It should be possible as there are many parts of the file you can select in this automation 🙌

    I can't find a way to attach the name to the note. I can't get the "Append Name to Note" step to work.

    I'm making the move from Evernote to Apple Notes. Some of my notes are self-created notes and others are scanned pdfs. It doesn't appear that all of the pdfs are searchable in Apple Notes. Evernote made every pdf searchable, but Apple Notes not the case. Have you figured out a solution to make the pdfs searchable before you put them into Apple Notes?

    • @OliverMark0001

      my Evernote "killed" all OCR in the last year. I asked for help and EN told me, it should have been fixed. But it was not. So now I use PDFify to OCR all my EN-exported PDF (I used Obsidian to get this done: it can import .enex and separate the PDF into a folder - I could not find any program that could do this). Then I PDFified all these PDF (it took...long) and now I have them inside a folder. The easiest way is to use the Finder to search them. This workflow in this YT Video does not work at all. There is a shortcut to get the OCR-PDF-Text inside of a new Apple-Note, but not the PDF (it can't even get JPG into Apple Notes). So I guess, it is not a bug, it is a feature. You shall not use Apple-Notes to bulk PDF (when they are OCR´d!), you can import the "dumb" PDF without the OCR, but I don't need that.
