I drove the 997, 991.1, 991.2 and 992. The 992 left me cold, it somehow lacked the wow-factor of the previous generations. I could not get comfortable in the drivers' seat either. Ordered a GTS 4.0 and sold my prior 2010 Cayman S to the local Lexus dealer. I agree with you that this is a nicely specced car, but I would not have ordered the turbo wheels, as the GTS wheels are unique to the 4.0.

I just test drove a 992 C4S and it was a beast. It was the first 911 I’ve ever driven so I have nothing to compare it to but it was so raw and visceral. I thought it the seats were very comfortable - I liked everything about it except for the backup camera which looked like a Playskool camera and is essentially worthless.

hard agree. Unfortunately many people base their decision on looks, depreciation, and status over actual driving.

Have almost this exact car. Mine has GTS package interior Black /Chalk. I also got the turbo wheels. I would take the Cayman GTS over base 911 all day, and did. They somehow look so much better in person. It’s really strange. I watched 19 months of footage, pics etc before I actually had mine delivered. Nothing prepared me. Such an amazing car for 102K.

More engaging than any 911 that’s not a GT3/RS in my opinion. The engine has so much character. Of course the power isn’t the same but the engagement with this car is high

There’s a refresh coming in the next few months so I’m being patient. The change I want to see is in the PCM though I don’t know if PCM changes are even planned. As for the 911 looking better than a 718 GTS…. I’m not so sure about that - I know what you’re saying but I think it’s just because we associate the 911 with expensive - but the 718 has beautiful lines and with the six cylinder it’s a beautiful car . I like the 911 but the 718 is equally as nice and in some way better. I will be getting a Porsche in August to celebrate a big birthday coming up for me and I’m on the fence about which to get. Financially either is doable fortunately.

The NA motor definitely sounds better but the base 992 has a lot more torque.

You're getting a well spec'd new cayman with the 4.0 flat-6 that every Porsche enthusiast knows and loves mated with a 6 speed manual for right over 100k. If we're talking about a new car I see a lot performance for the value.
