- Taking my time solving the wooden logic puzzle known as Katamino to help you relax, maybe experience ASMR, and possibly sleep.
If you are new to "ASMR" and/or my channel, welcome aboard and thanks for dropping by! The majority of videos I create, often in an unorthodox manner, are meant to help you relax, sleep, hopefully experience ASMR, and any other use that might help you find some peace of mind, concentrate, study, decompress, etc.
What is ASMR?
ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response. It's just a non-scientific, made-up term that a layperson came up with to describe the feeling characterized as a pleasant tingling sensation felt in various parts of the body (head, scalp, back, legs, etc.) in response to various visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory, and/or cognitive stimuli, such as crinkling bags, hand movements, whispering, personal attention or watching someone perform a task. It's like goosebumps, but much more pleasant and without the uncomfortable chills.
ASMR videos are meant to intentionally induce this sensation in the viewer, often referred to as "tingles". However, the videos also serve to provide a relaxing, calming, comforting and soothing experience for people beyond ASMR purposes. Many people who do not experience ASMR still enjoy these videos. I experienced ASMR throughout my life, but no longer do.

The best part of these puzzle-solving videos is watching him getting visibly more impatient and focusing less on the slow, deliberate ASMR movements as time progresses

@@Fraycon Nah, nothing to do with that. Just gotta know when to use your brain and when not to. This is one of such occations (yes, I know this is a joke).
I have to just listen and not look at the screen for all puzzles and games or this reason.
The worst is when he starts doing the right move and then says it can't work and changes his mind, but I really like the sounds so I just play it in the background.

Oh, Pentominoes, the precursor to Tetris!
And i'm not joking. Alexei Pajitnov based the original version of Tetris on this game, just with 1 block per playing piece removed to make it simpler.
Makes a lot of sense actually.
Tetris is based on tetronimos, the shapes in tetris, they were invented in the 18 hundreds

I mostly love that Uncle Rift has been around for us all for all this time entertaining us with his weaving of tales. Creating awesome videos with so many easter eggs and memes.

Personally these puzzle games make me anxious instead of sleepy because i keep trying to solve it in my head too. It gets worse when im already done and you keep changing the pieces. [INTERNAL SCREAMING]

meanwhile I'm sitting here watching going "wait, puzzles have been invented already?" because in my alternate universe puzzles are Nothing.
Listening to your voice and you doing the puzzle. Then I look up from my phone/switch/ds and see the puzzle, my ADHD mind trying and (in most cases) solving it, then I'm just stressed again because I see the solution and you're just taking your time and ended up undoing part of the solution. I love this because I can watch when I'm in the mood for a puzzle, or I can listen and relax to your voice.
I love these chill puzzle videos but when I see you have the solution but you don't see it it drives me crazy lol thank you for more of these videos ER

One of the most annoying things about Rifts puzzle videos is when he’s sitting right next to the answer for like 30 seconds completely oblivious to it, and then proceeds to back track cuz he though he made a mistake

I've one recommendation if you decide to upload another one. You should, depending on your camera, increase the aperture so everything is in focus. When you are tapping the blocks individually your hands get out of focus. Really like your puzzle videos tho! Keep up the great work!
