If you are new to "ASMR" and/or my channel, welcome aboard and thanks for dropping by! The majority of videos I create, often in an unorthodox manner, are meant to help you relax, sleep, hopefully experience ASMR, and any other use that might help you find some peace of mind, concentrate, study, decompress, etc.
What is ASMR?
ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response. It's just a non-scientific, made-up term that a layperson came up with to describe the feeling characterized as a pleasant tingling sensation felt in various parts of the body (head, scalp, back, legs, etc.) in response to various visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory, and/or cognitive stimuli, such as crinkling bags, hand movements, whispering, personal attention or watching someone perform a task. It's like goosebumps, but much more pleasant and without the uncomfortable chills.
ASMR videos are meant to intentionally induce this sensation in the viewer, often referred to as "tingles". However, the videos also serve to provide a relaxing, calming, comforting and soothing experience for people beyond ASMR purposes. Many people who do not experience ASMR still enjoy these videos.
I experienced ASMR all throughout my life but no longer do as of a couple years ago. However, I still enjoy creating these videos for anyone else that still experiences it or is just looking to relax, sleep, study, etc.

ER makes me want to collect logic games, from rush hour to combination guessing to this, all so interesting!!!
ER could make us do almost anything
Thought i was the only one. I had rush hour back then but i was a braindead kid who got bad scores so my iq was like 50 and threw the whole game away lmao

Ugh only problem is back then my parents got us these games but I Did not appreciate enough...not sure where the games are now and if they are even complete and intact
I highly suggest Unblock Me on the App Store if any of you have it. It’s a very good puzzle game and I use it constantly when I’m bored out of my mind. Highest number of puzzles I’ve ever finished was probably 400-500. There’s thousands of puzzles on Unblock Me, and you have to pay practically nothing to just play the game and have it a certain theme you like.
I wanna see a safe cracking game where you actually need to listen carefully to the lock clicks.

Gonna be honest, I have no idea how most of your videos end, or even start for that matter, I put a playlist on, and by morning I've "watched" it all, despite not knowing how the first one even goes past the 10 minute mark.
So nice to see a good ol' fashion relaxing ASMR from ER. The quirky characters of the sanitarium are nice too but it's good to have some basic videos to mix it up.
Ever since i was young I remember having an old lady as a substitute and her voice was so soothing and low it was like a soft whisper and it relaxed me. Grew up to find similar relaxing videos called ASMR and now I realize that lady was my 1st ever ASMRtist haha 💯 Bless Her Soul !

i feel like wood is one of the best materials to make sounds with. i dont know why but its just so relaxing.
I remember getting one of these puzzle sets for my 13th birthday.
I spent about the next week glued to it and got through about half of the cards.

Puzzle videos are relaxing right up until the point when you inevitably solve it in 1/3 of the time it took Rift to do it and have to sit there watching him bumble about until he cracks the case
Inevitable, of course, due to how he's being slowed down by ASMR for our viewing benefit.

Normally I close my eyes and relax to ERs videos.
Not this time, I closed my eyes and ENTERED MY MIND PALACE and solved the puzzle. I am not at all relaxed, but feel good anyway. Very satisfying.
This was fantastic. And you have, what, 51 more videos you can do with this? Sparingly, of course, I imagine, but still. You're one of only three male ASMR'tists that can relax me enough to sleep. Thank you, for everything you do.

When you play puzzle games i try to stay awake to see if you solvd them but since you are really good at asmr, i just fall asleep right away hahaha
I loved that noise at the beginning. I would have been content with just that noise. But I enjoy the puzzle as well.

I was watching and I figured out the answer and in my head I'm trying to tell ER how to solve it correctly
... My mind melted: not from the puzzle but from how long it took him to solve the first one.
E.R. I couldnt fall asleep to this because I was too busying yelling at you trying to tell you how to solve it lol

Such is the difficulty of doing these tactile-based puzzles without breaking the ASMR atmosphere
Yeah, the puzzle itself was real easy, just some basic process of elimination work. Nothing fancy or difficult. But It helped me to remember ER probably isn't a puzzle solver and also showed us his thought processes. What took me 1-2 seconds in my head to simulate took him 1-2 minutes to demonstrate for the camera, so the physical actions absolutely slowed this all down a ton.

At 8: 32, I really enjoyed the sound that the pieces make with a slowly shift around. When I first heard it in another video, it reminded me so much of something like the korok Forest from the Zelda games.

I don’t comment much, and I’m not sure who will read this but I need to get it out. I have a severe sleep disorder that affects roughly less than 1% of the population worldwide. It’s nicknamed Delayed Sleep Pattern Syndrome. I physically cannot fall asleep at night, and it’s usually between 11AM-7PM when I begin my sleep cycle. I’ve tried hundreds of medications; and nothing has worked. This video made me fall asleep for the first time since I was 7 years old. I am currently 22. I appreciate all you do so much. You don’t realize this, but by doing this you’ve opened life up for me, I can work a normal job. I can live a life now. Thank you Ephemeral Rift. You’ve helped me so much. You have no idea.

ER the 4s go into ef with their rivets both allowing passage along ac. Ac are the 1s staked on top of one another passing through either side of the 4 rivets. Bd is the 5’s with their rivets facing opposite each other for the 4s non riveted end to pass through.

Yeah so actually it was the head shaking little forest spirit mushroomy creatures from the same directors movie Princess Mononoke. Even the wood rod movement reminded me of that.

Super relaxing sounds. I solved the puzzle in under 5 seconds, and was quite surprised that it took the whole remainder of the video for you to figure it out. Would love more of these!
