In addition, I added a third stringer in the middle, fastened the kicker board with concrete anchors and used 2x12 treated wood for a solid stair tread. Also, my concrete pad is both covered by tin roofing from the deck and sloped so water is never standing at the base. Extremely well thought out and solid build.

Excellent idea I’ve always installed a beam of some sort under the rim but this is definitely a great way to do it.
