Great look at a classic! Honestly just checked it out to see if you were doing justice to the track. You did BIG TIME !!! Great tutorial sir! Thank you.
You are excellent. Thanks for assuming if we are here we can roll, but without assuming too much,...first guy I've seen play the F-G doodle the way the tail is on it like the record.
Hi - I'm not sure I understand the question, but hopefully this helps. It's a 50's style chord progression (doo-wop). The progression on the verses is C/Am/F and G - Jimmy plays them 'triad style' except for the bridge. And these are the only chords used in the song. I hope that helps... Thanks for watching
@@247GuitarwithHowardHartwhat im trying to say is that for example your C is not placed 1st finger on B 2nd finger on D and 3rd on A yours are placed 1st finger on B and E 2nd on G and 3rd on D.
@@sk8tb1 That's correct. The first fingering you described is used for the standard open position C Chord covering the first 3 frets. Jimmy uses the 'triad' version (which sounds an octave higher) - In fact he uses this version of the chords thru-out the verses. The notes are exactly the same as the open position C Chord (C-E-G-C)... just sounding an octave higher. The fingering is: E string 8th fret - B string 8th fret - G string 9th fret - D string 10th fret (this is the fingering you see in the video)
Best lesson for this song I have found. Thanks man

Good one Howard. This is a really cool song and your probably the only lesson. Thanks. Peace.
Cool lesson. Thanks!
this lesson is really good. way better than the Marty Schwartz version
Nice clear lesson, I also slide the G string up two frets with the e string for the C F and G bits
Cool - I like that idea!
Thanks!! Perfect and clear.
Thanks for watching :-)
