For we "older" folks, we were lucky growing up to this music. So many songs. Heard It Through the Grapevine, Susie Q, Run Through the Jungle, for starters
CCR...now your talking. Fortunate Son, Traveling Band, Run Through The Jungle, Heard It Through The Grapevine, Bad Moon Rising, It Came Out of the Sky, Down On the Corner, Midnight Special, and a killer cover of Elvis' My Baby Left Me. Get down with the get down...
"Suzy Q" is another song that will blow you away. These guys had some soul. You could never put CCR in a box, and say "This is what they are." They played Blues, country, and Rock.
Love CCR, really takes me back to my older brother playing CCR (and he was usually more of a country and western guy!). I loved this band right away even as a child and props to my brother Tom for cluing me in that they even existed, ha. I'll be 58 soon and my brother just turned 67!
I love it when I see the music really getting to you. I"m really glad to see so many people discovering the great music we had back in the 70s. What an era !!!
I’m with Lance, for the older group I could not tell you how many great times I had listening to CCR and probably having too many cocktails. They have a great library of music I don’t think I’ve ever heard a bad one.Keep up the good work
love your reactions to this. it is beyond awesome music, and you get it. best of luck to you!! if a person doesn't get continual chills and can keep their feet, hell, their whole body still during this song, then we aren't from the same planet!
This was live at Woodstock, I celebrated my graduation and 18th birthday there. 3 days of total bliss in the little farming town of Bethel NY....I was from Alaska
Yeah drummer this is this is the queen and this is a song I played for my old man 40 years ago when I first met him and we’re still together and after that he played he dropped a bomb on me by a different group I play a lot of Clearwater creations their whole catalog is great like your channel peace out love you
Looks like some one took some video from their Woodstock performance and synched it with the studio version of the song. Creedence kicked ass!! Green River, Keep On Chooglin', Effigy, Run Through the Jungle, Heard It Through the Grapevine, and John Fogerty's solo track Old Man Down the Road!
CCR takes me back to my childhood friends daddy coming from Vietnam. Looking out my back door, Born on the Bayou and of course Fortunate Son, which is in every Vietnam movie ever made. I believe John Fogerty lived a previous life in the Mississippi Delta
Love ccr they had the beat and the grit that my my ear loves.that's right I am deaf in my right ear. That's why I love music so much I hear things that really stick out to me.Could you please react to Carol King the song is Way over yonder.I love your reaction to songs they are great and funny. Thanks for this one😁😎😇
I'm so glad you were impressed. Like Lance, we were so lucky to have lived through such an era of outstanding musicians. My dinky little garage band opened for Creedence once; also once for Hendrix. I saw the Beatles twice in concert. I also saw Muddy Waters, Buddy Guy and Junior Wells, Freddie King, Christopher Parkening, Segovia, Isaac Stern.... Sorry, I got carried away by my good fortune. I feel really bad today, however, because I can't seem to grasp Rap and Hip Hop. Many, many of America's greatest musical talents have been African American and yet I can't connect emotionally, or whatever, to today's Black music. It's my failing, not theirs I'm sure. Living as I do in rural Wisconsin Whiteland doesn't help I suppose. Thanks for this video. Perhaps you can help me find my way.
that entire debut album is great. Raw and extended soloing. Many won't agree, but I think it's their best album period. At least listen to it by yourself. Won't regret
Hey Drama.. Keep up the Hard Work you've Professionally and Most Entertainingly Shown on This Channel..Which is BTW my FIRST 'Go To" When I wake and throughout my Long Week as a Nurse "in this most unbelievably stressful Chaos we are experiencing". Not sure WHO would speak different, But I imagine you're going to Know they Don't have the Power to change Who you are an what you've accomplished. All I know is.. please don't stop providing your Entelegence of Pure Entertainment and knowledge of Music to the Table. I Thank You for that.
Dawn, I want you to know that means a lot to me, I never said that I'm always right, but I share what I know and what I experience or have experienced in my 30+ years as a performer, Thank you!!!
@@DramaSydETV Now you know your experience has impacted other's in the most enlightening way. Puts a Smile on my face. And that is what it's all about!!!
I was fortunate enough to have parents that loved music. CCR always reminds me of camping trips when I was young .... sitting around the campfire, listening to the "Old Folks (maybe 30 lol) talk about the good ol' days. Thank you, Michael, for choosing something that evoked a very happy time in my life. We could all use a little 'HAPPY' right now. Enjoy your journey into the CCR world. I'm looking forward to hearing what you find.
Another great band that had a short 'shelf-life' was the UK country-rock band, Heads Hands and Feet. So few people know about them, but really really should! Their sheer musicality was epic! Check out 'Country Boy', or 'Warming up the band'!
Looks like this is Woodstock footage, but using the studio recording. They were pretty badass. Check out "Born on the Bayou" (make sure you get the full 5-minute studio version), which is the definitive swamp rock song, or their 1970 Oakland concert finale "Keep on Chooglin'".
That’s Creedence. John Fogerty (lead singer, guitar, songwriter) 50 years later still basically looks & sounds the same. In fact, it’s his anniversary and he’s playing today at 3pm PST online from Fogertysfactory. Check it out!
I've always loved CCR. This was totally different than Screamin Jay Hawkins. I'll not get into one is better than the other because that isn't true. They're both great, but I grew up with CCR so my preference is to listen to that version. (Angelina Jordan's version is much closer to Hawkins' version and it isn't bad either. 😊😊😊😊) Cheers, Steve
There is youtube video of them playing in England cant remember if it's at Albert royal hall or earl's court. The quality isn't bad. Of course just type in John Fogerty, he is/was the heart of CCR, and you will get several good concerts to watch.
I'm curious as to whether you're familiar with the Screamin' Jay Hawkins version? Even though I grew up listening to CCR, I wasn't really as familiar with this version as I was more with Hawkins' - it was played all the time on Dr. Demento at Halloween time.
For we "older" folks, we were lucky growing up to this music. So many songs. Heard It Through the Grapevine, Susie Q, Run Through the Jungle, for starters
CCR is no joke. They have a catalogue nine miles long and not ONE bad song!
This man is 74 years old and still performs at this level!!
Easily one of the best songs of all time
Back in the day, these guys were on fire. Their music sold like crazy, concerts packed. You really couldn't avoid their monstrous greatness.
John Fogarty one of the most distinctive voices ever. The rabbit hole is this way ➡️➡️➡️
CCR...now your talking.
What a great version of this old song. Everything they did left an impression on me.
The best version of this song by anybody
"Suzy Q" is another song that will blow you away. These guys had some soul. You could never put CCR in a box, and say "This is what they are." They played Blues, country, and Rock.
Fogerty and his haunting guitar own this rendition !!!
I'm back in my youth for a moment. Thank you 🤘😎🇩🇪🇪🇺
Absolutely love CCR! Midnight Special is a good one
Oh man, I love Midnight Special.... sooooo gooood
John proved SOUL has no color
With barber shops being closed, we might need to bring back the long hair.
Love CCR, really takes me back to my older brother playing CCR (and he was usually more of a country and western guy!). I loved this band right away even as a child and props to my brother Tom for cluing me in that they even existed, ha. I'll be 58 soon and my brother just turned 67!

One of my all time favorite groups.
I’m with Lance, for the older group I could not tell you how many great times I had listening to CCR and probably having too many cocktails. They have a great library of music I don’t think I’ve ever heard a bad one.Keep up the good work
CCR is one of my faves along with Lynyrd Skynrd. This old man still likes to rock out.
Fortunate Son! An absolute classic of Rock and Roll!
BORN ON THE BAYOU IS A MUST LISTEN!
My dad loved CCR so I grew up listening to them & I love them too.
love your reactions to this. it is beyond awesome music, and you get it. best of luck to you!! if a person doesn't get continual chills and can keep their feet, hell, their whole body still during this song, then we aren't from the same planet!
Have always loved the vocals and the energy in this
Some people where just born to sing and made music John's one of those still rocking it at 70.
They have so many good ones. Down On The Corner and Have You Ever Seen The Rain are favorites.
This band is a cautionary tale of Contracts and lawsuits that lasted over 20 years. It involved the name of the band and copyrights.
My fav band of all time. Hands down. The genius behind it all was John Fogerty. Lead guitar, lead singer, wrote all their songs. He still tours today!
They gave great concerts and dominated the early ‘70’s for about 3 years
Loved it. Forget the fabulous oldies. CCR are one of the greatest!
My favorite song by them, one more favorite is 99 1/2.
BORN ON THE BAYOU IS SO GOOD
This was live at Woodstock, I celebrated my graduation and 18th birthday there. 3 days of total bliss in the little farming town of Bethel NY....I was from Alaska

Great reaction. Great song! Great band! This always was my favourite version of I Put a Spell on You.
CCR equal to hot summer days in the forest preserves playing frisbee and the aroma of pot everywhere!

CCR's Run Through The Jungle sounds like it was recorded in a jungle! Please play that.
Please review fortunate son by Creedance clearwater revival. . Top class Vietnam War protest song.
Love me some CCR! Happy you are feeling better and back with your reactions. The spell must be working I had to break out my happy dance 😊

High school and college days. Oh heck yes.
I really appreciate your reactions. Great music is great music and when performed by great musicians, ( no matter the genre/decade) it's all good!
that entire debut album is great. Raw and extended soloing. Many won't agree, but I think it's their best album period. At least listen to it by yourself. Won't regret
They were Beatlesque in their massive output in such a short band lifespan...remarkable!
Welcome back brother Mile, glad Ur feelin better... Disgrosting 🎸🎤🎸🎤🎸🎤🥁🥁🥁🥁
This group didn’t last long but they made their impact
It's because of all the lawsuits with management and Record Company.
Long enough to make a string of hits that are still all time favorites.
Southern rockin' blues. This is the best version of this song.
Born on the Bayou!
One of my top 5 favorite songs
So much great CCR, but another personal fav is "Long as I Can See the Light"

Great stuff !!
Who would thumbs down this??? 🧐
They put that spell on us when they hit the scene back in the ‘60’s! Glad to see they continue to...
Green River. Proud Mary. Born on the Bayou. Fortunate Son. Lookin' Out My back Door. Bad Moon Rising. Lodi. Run through the Jungle
Love, love, love CCR!!!!!!!!!!!
Please do CCR's (long version) cover of the Marvin Gaye classic Heard It Through the Grapevine!
Stayed very smoked up with CCR back in the day! 😂
I was re-introduced to this song as a Bette Midler cover in the movie Hocus Pocus... lol. Let it soothe your frayed nerves. Abracadabra!
Another great one!! Always enjoy your reactions!
I am a new subscriber. I love your reactions! Thank you for doing what you do.
Another great band that had a short 'shelf-life' was the UK country-rock band, Heads Hands and Feet.

Super cool song!
CCR is pure American badassery
Oh yes! Thank you for this!! I feel young again :D
Great reaction
These guys will have you stink face bout every song! GO PATS!
More CCR.. when? How about Steve Winwood Can't find my way home? Love your reactions!

Can't go wrong with CCR
Magico
Love car hadn't heard this one though before it was fun to just watch
You make me laugh.💛
Love CCR
Want more CCR? Check out “Tombstone Shadow “ the live version
You should do Run through the Jungle and Green River
There is youtube video of them playing in England cant remember if it's at Albert royal hall or earl's court. The quality isn't bad. Of course just type in John Fogerty, he is/was the heart of CCR, and you will get several good concerts to watch.
"Hey Tonight" is short but great CCR tune! For some reason, nobody reacts to it(?... )
I'll get it done!!!!
Grest song and singer .
ccr is epic ..i grew up with this
I'm curious as to whether you're familiar with the Screamin' Jay Hawkins version? Even though I grew up listening to CCR, I wasn't really as familiar with this version as I was more with Hawkins' - it was played all the time on Dr. Demento at Halloween time.
That was written and composed in 1956 by Hawkins
You really should check out 9 yr. old Angelina Jordan doing a jazz version of this song. You will be blown away. I ain't lyin'...
Nice reaction. I grew up with CCR.
This one helluva thick song.
You should check out the original Screamin Jay Hawkins version. He was a personality to behold.
Go get cha some more.
This song along with Heard it Through the Grapevine are my favorite CCR songs. Funny they're not original compositions.
Brother try 99 and a half by ccr it's so funky
your face is the ONLY face to make when listening to Fogerty
Check out dreams by the allman brothers or same old blues by Freddie king
Wooo hoooo!
