  • @jeffplissken8996

    My thing about Black Flag is I noticed the Templars are in that much more visibly morally grey area kind of like Rogue, they’re not quite as villainous as the previous portrayals, Torres in particular is very different from the likes of Charles Lee and Rodrigo and even dies holding some respect to Edward’s new convictions even as his enemy. It’s also pretty clear that Roberts is much more of the villain as a wild card character who only cares about his own goals and will use both sides to get what he wants, not being an Assassin or Templar. I think this kind of ties into Rogue’s protagonist stance of the Templars and how the prologue of AC3 manages to humanize them.

  • @maggiiopgott8975

    I have to say that there is a bit more to the Templers in Unity. They orcestrated a lot of problems through out the Revolution and all though they were distrusting of each other they would all have there respective field they were meant to Cover. I see it also as a way germain placed them so that they try to overbid each other by gaining his favour. Also don't forget Germain used the Assassins (Arno) to destroy his competition

    I personally think you should consider the order of the ancient in the legacy of the first blade:
    they controlled the persian empire (and with it nearly half the world population);
    they had pactyas and the immortals;
    it never is mentioned specifically, but most of the members are aristocrats and they control the king, so they were rich;
    they had access to entire militaries and navies;
    they mostly were in the cleanup state of their goal;
    each of the leaders of the sections and the tusk as well were skilled in combat and scheming;
    they didn’t get wiped out during the game (presumably), the persian order being the only to go down simply because of war and not backstabbing and assassins

      @TeamNebula456 They didn't have 0 impact. They worked alongside the Order of Ancients to enforce their goals through any means necessary. However, the Cult eventually became fanatics worshipping those of the bloodline like the Eagle Bearer. They didn't have as much impact because the Eagle Bearer eradicated every trace of their order from Greece. At the time, the Order of Ancients had a more expansive outreach, including Persia, Greece, and other locations. They had the same goals at a time, and they were just like what the Eagle Bearer and Darius are to the Hidden Ones. Neither had an actual impact on the Creed. Instead, their goals and ideals are ultimately what would pass down to influence the Hidden Ones. Darius creating the hidden blade really did nothing else, nor did he have any other impact.

      @@francargeric1 that's because AC 3 was the last game developed by the original developers. they had a vision. a story to tell. and they wanted to tell it and end the series. ubisoft saw a cow ready to be milked for as much money as possible, so they fired the developers and hired new ones who would create game after game. it's the reason why desmond suddenly dies at the end of ac3, the original devs didn't want others to ruin the story they were telling, so they quickly tied up everything. i remember thinking as a kid they ruined the game by killing of desmond, now I understand that was not only the death of desmond but also the death of the AC golden age. some games like black flag and rogue that came after were still good, but the story really went downhill with the new devs if you ask me.

    • @Im_batman2003
      @Im_batman2003 17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@richardvanimpelen805 I agree with you minus the children of danu. the children of danu were created as a response to Christian influence in Ireland and the sole purpose of the group was to protect their culture and the druids that still live in Ireland. So they would not have any kind of Templar like ideology and would most likely have been an enemy of the Templars/order of ancients. When it comes to the bellatores dei based on what I could understand they were just a fanatical Christian cult that wanted to enforce their ideology in Francia so they should be on the video. If Eivor didn’t eradicate their order then maybe in time they would have grown into another group like the Templars or would have been eradicated either by the Templars or by either the hidden ones or the assassin brotherhood depending on the amount of time it took for the bellatores dei to be on the radar of either the Templar’s, assassins or hidden ones.

I don’t even think they would ally themselves with the Templars/the order of ancients due to them seeing the Templars/order of ancients as outsiders and possible invaders like the Christians.

    at least with mirage it made sense as to why the templars were so weak because they were completely outmatched.
    this was the assassins golden age in ACTUAL history. the brotherhood was extremely active, powerful, feared and far reaching. As. A. Single. Faction. not like it is in modern days or post origins where it mostly just scattered factions with some basic larger oversight outside their area/country. no they were like Archilies American brotherhood but with an actual leader who was not corrupted by his own ego and not a fucking wannabe poser but an actual good leader and assasin
    the templar order in Bagdad and the surrounding areas will continue to be extremely weak till at least the brothers rebellion's and that war doesn't start till the end of basims tenure. plus it also ends the muslim golden age and ushers in the crusades meaning the order of the ancients are gone and now templars. like i dont think you understand in mirage the templars were just training for basims growth/fall. they were never an actual threat as they never had a fucking chance.
    the other bad orders different question but the worst of the bunch is not their fault as its just actual history.

      This is copied and pasted directly from my doc:
      Game feats first:
      - An older Haytham was able to survive a (very close) cannonball’s blast radius and get up.
      - Haytham’s horse fell on his leg during the final mission with Edward Braddock and he could chase Braddock and defeat him.
      - Connor picked up and ran Haytham through a wall.
      - Part of the roof/barrels/debris fell on Haytham (or the ground) in the mission with Connor.
      - Haytham was stabbed in the arm and punched by Connor. He was still able to fight Connor after that.
      - Haytham was thrown and kicked into barrels during his fight with Connor. He was also hit in the face with a glass bottle.
      - Haytham was able to talk for a while and move around after getting stabbed in his arm, thrown around, beaten, hit in the face with a glass bottle, hit by a cannonball blast, AND stabbed in the neck.
      - He was taking punches from mercenaries before Connor rescued him.
      Novel feats now:
      - Haytham was stabbed with a sword (presumably in his chest/side) and took around 4 months to recover due to infections.
      - Haytham was momentarily hanged when he collapsed the execution platform.
      - In the novel both Haytham and Connor were throwing violent attacks at each other. There is also a small timeskip between the last counter in the boss fight and the cutscene, likely meaning more hits were thrown.
      - Was cut on his neck in his encounter with a mercenary, and still able to fight. He later got it patched up.
      - Haytham was stabbed in his forearm and still able to fight, infiltrate, and escape with Jenny.
      Already in a weakened state, he was slapped by an assistant two times very hard.
