    What a joke. The government, owned by drug companies, is going to negotiate drug prices. Funny.

      No, he did not. He created an OPTIONAL plan for a SUBSET of drugs, and only half the suppliers opted in. This is like hiring a contractor to build a deck and instead he just lays a blanket on the ground.

    Wait Sue Who? PHARMA Comp you sell Xerelto about 5 x times cheaper price in Canada. Did you Stop selling in Canada? So you make a Profit selling the drugs in other countries but SUE when you can Not Gouge and charge Excessive amounts to the US Government and other US customers?

    • @barryseebo3535
      @barryseebo3535 26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Because you are subsidizing their healthcare. They have price caps. If you have 10 customers, and 7 of them negotiate a price cap, guess where you are going to get your profit? That's right the 3 who didn't. Do you know what happens when the other three put price caps in place? Thats right, the product becomes a loss or makes zero profit and your company either stops innovating new products or goes out of business. Embargo countries with drug price caps and you will see their prices go up, but you would also see the US go down.

    • @jbranche8024
      @jbranche8024 26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @barryseebo3535 The system for pricing is broken. Drugs may be capped but are selected for efficacy, side effects and price versus similar drug. When there is more than X percentage difference between countries that seems excessive it is not fair. Not everyone has insurance, not everyone is rich. Some of the drugs treat issues that are Not caused by the consumer. Up to Governments, Insurance companies and pharma companies to reach a fair price

    The negative comments on this video are misleading. Copays were already set before this announcement, and the true out-of-pocket maximum for prescriptions has been reduced to $2,000 annually, after which medications are free. For example, Xarelto, which retails for $545 a month, is among the medications on this list. Many of these drugs are essential for managing chronic conditions like diabetes or heart disease. I have patients with congestive heart failure who struggle to afford their medications. This change will save lives.

    • @emerynoel567
      @emerynoel567 26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I agree, most of the negative comments are done by shitposting magachuds. I do agree that this will save some lives and make some lives easier, but the drug companies are still gonna find ways to make their money. They'll charge fees or raise the prices of other drugs. This move isn't nearly enough; it's only going to shift the burdens around.
