THIS LOOKS GREAT! Movement and gunplay look tight and period authentic. Bit more atmosphere needed, moody sound track maybe, but seriously impressive stuff.
I suggest improving the hit feedback in situations like 0:11, splatter some dripping blood on the screen, maybe make the enemies be flung backwards, or gibbed entirely. It just looks a little bit limp how they react right now. This looks super good, subscribed.
I really like the look of the buzzsaw weapon and the face on the hud. The level design needs work but level design is super hard so I don’t blame you. Looks great!
This is pretty good. I think you should keep working on it like adding more levels, enemies and weapons, this has potential even though there a good amount of Boomer Shooter throw backs.
I really love the point filtering look. Really gives that software rendering mode. I think a few of the view models should be adjusted but so far looks really crunchy like a lost late 90s fps. Great work.
Looks like a game on Quake engine because of this weapon bobbing. Jumps seem to be similar too. Also it's will be better not to make levels as just a straight corridors, they need more variety, different rooms, geometry.
i wish someone would make a starter base like this and then let me play with it . i got movement down i just cant seem to get gibs or guns working quite right.
I don't remember exactly, but when I recorded the first devlog, it was about 3 days since I started making this game. And All the textures were drawn by me
@@5minutemovies977right answer, he just make all of this. (The reason I know this is because I helped him with programming and ideas. you can see my name in dev6 video description)
Change the resolution to 320x200 and make the sounds low quality and youve got yourself something thats actually faithful to old shooters and not le ultrakill clone number 5000
This nails the art style that PC FPS games had when everything went from raycasting to full 3D.
THIS LOOKS GREAT!

this unironically looks fucking amazingly fun, i hope you keep working on it!
as long as it is fun to develop, ofc, that's primordial, if not, amazing demo nonetheless
That last punch.......aaaaaaaaaaahahahahhahahahahahahahaaaahahahahahahahah
the last punch always gets me XD
me too ahahahah
That looks really good. That double barrel shotty is satisfying. There's also something about the footstep sounds that i find oddly satisfying.
You nailed the aesthetics very nicely! The weapons and environment are very spectacular and feel straight out of a full 3D 90's FPS!

Good idea!

You can never have enough retro FPS
@@TheFieryWind99 That's right!!!
Especially since most of these throwbacks are the "throw-and-miss" kind.
I can see this game with an amazing deathmatch scene. Looks great!
Dude this is so good. This was really inspiring to someone who wants to make their own game. I hope to see your game in the future.
Holy shit I really like the style, with some more refinement this can be something truely great.
This is insanely well done.
I love this more than I can even describe lmao, just got started using godot seriously love to see this
i fw this a lot, looks rly interesting and cool
the last punch xDDDDDDDD man but although it's a great work man well done!

Super shotgun knockoff looks good. So far this gives off system shock/ quake 2 vibes

The aesthetic is spot on! Nailed it really
Fuck yes, looks awesome!!! Awesome to see someone taking after the Half-Life 1 artstyle owo
Nice job mate keep it up. 💪🔥
This looks more Chasm than Chasm
this level design reminds me a lot of the corridors in turok 2: hive of the mantids
amazing art style
Absolutely adore the art direction but the level design could do with a lot of work, can't wait to see how you develop this further
brotha its clearly a test level
@@CRT_YT huh didn’t consider that. Definitely gonna keep an eye on this going forward
This looks like blood 2 or quake!
You nailed the artstyle!
This really does look interesting, I like the alien feel to the textures. Guns seem nice and punchy, which is where a lot of people miss the mark.
I wanna play this if you ever decide to make a full game out of it!
Bro dying at one single across the face slap lmao
This is teally nice! I like it, it's giving Quake and Half-life
Very cool.
amazing work
This looks so fun. I would love to play this as a full game
This looks amazing! 엄청난!
Really cool!
Awesome work, I hope one day to play it.
Looks promising. I hope that death at the end is the canon ending. :)
Fantastaic! , Keep Working on it man , and can you make tutorial for This
Man this looks legit.
Hot out of 1997.
This looks soooooooooooo cooool. I love it. :D
For me, the overall visual style is very reminiscent of PSOne Alien Resurrection, but far less darker. It's pretty neat.
I don't know why, but this reminded me of Gunman Chronicles.
Very nice and very inspiring! Are you using trenchbroom for your 3D levels? Good luck and keep having fun!
how did you do the lighting?
Awesome shotgun.
Nice job on this!
this looks amazing, how long have you been working on it ?
reminds me of star wars dark forces! classic!
Love this 👏👏👏👏
This looks spot-on, I don't know how good godot would be good for a boomer shooter, but this looks so legit it's unreal.
it's not unreal, it's godot :P
This is impressive, please tell me you made this without coding.
no criticisms, just keep on keeping on.
Awesome!
Great 👍👍👍
Like a Quake 1 + Half-Life 1
Arena Sci-Fi 👍
just need instrumental metal music
this is great
Great job! 잘 만들었어요 😮😊
Can you please do some kind tutorial vid on how you created this? It is super impressive! I want to make a game like this in the future
Impressive kinda reminds me of system shock
i wish someone would make a starter base like this and then let me play with it . i got movement down i just cant seem to get gibs or guns working quite right.
very nice
nice quake viewbob is there strafe jumping
0:29 how a real boomer shooterer moves
Don't know how I got here but this is pretty cool, I'll be checking out more.
This is false, every boomer shooterer knows the REAL way to move is by strafe running.
I’ve been trying to get here for like a month and it’s hard lemme tell ya 😂
Amazing work. Where did you get the sound assets?
Some of the sounds were taken from freesound.rog and edited a little bit, and others were recorded by me
Dangg that's juicy!
How long did it take you to make the first devlog, and how do you texture the models?
I don't remember exactly, but when I recorded the first devlog, it was about 3 days since I started making this game. And All the textures were drawn by me
@@SecordrianThat's quite a short amount of time, how'd you learn godot?
@@LordTrashcanRulez I studied by watching godot documents and tutorials
I really wish to make something like this in the future ❤ 😊
Incereble
What is the name of the game?
I temporarily named this game "68"
Where have you learned how to make such games?
Probably by doing them. Trial and error.
@@5minutemovies977right answer, he just make all of this. (The reason I know this is because I helped him with programming and ideas. you can see my name in dev6 video description)
I studied myself

any chance to you shared the enemy AI code?, they are really great
nice gibs
Definitely early, but it's looking great so far! Reminds me a lot of Star Explorers if it was an actual boomer shooters. I'm into it :)
