This is the man who sang 3 songs at my grandfathers funeral. He was hired by my grandfather at 14 and sang Wagon Wheel, Broken Halos, and House of the Rising Sun in 2021 at the funeral, which were 3 of my grandfathers favorite songs. It’s so amazing seeing him go as far to The Voice and see his talent get more recognition.
I have to remind myself these contestants are very often just hard working Americans who, for some of them, have zero training and many have never sung in a public setting before- this guy’s voice is great and with some help in stage presence etc he could be very successful
@WalkerWilson WOW 😍💓💘💓👩🎤! You had me as a fan 4 life at the first note!! Love your voice and vibe! Congrats and good luck. So looking forward to watching more of your Voice journey performances! Congrats! 👊🎉❤️
Walker has nice voice ,and great song choice his performance wasn't prefect but, with the right mentor from Blake as his coach he can improve ,and go far.
I agree. He needs a little more soul in his voice. Especially a song about the south. Blake will be a great teacher he needs a little bit of gods country and ole red in his voice and he will be a good contestant 🤌🏽
I hope those other three were listening to Blake - Old Red / God's Country - Blake's last kick at the can --- he's gearing up those country fans because he's taking this season - #10 win coming up
He has a great voice in there and he chose a great song choice. It wasn't perfect but it was good enough to turn chairs and I could see him going far if he keeps improving. He lost control after Blake turned.
NBC, your inaccurate. This was a major hit and over a million seller for RCA artist Leon Everette in 1981. Any future recording is a cover. Love all the other covers, but give original credit where it's due please!
They should have a rock singer as a coach each season. There have been some great rock singers audition that no one turned for because they don't understand the music. Not everyone can sing rock, it takes a special voice to sing rock music. The coaches wouldn't know the best songs for them. I think there would be more rock singers if they had a rock singer as the coach each season. Adam was the closest they have had. I think Alice Cooper would be a great coach.
It started out great, but then he put too much growl in the chorus, I was waiting to hear whether he could hit the sort of high notes without using too much growl!
Walker is a good singer but he is no Kentucky head hurters . Kentucky head hurters is ftom my home town and I went too school with them my first husband played the organ for them when there first name was the Itsy Brothers band before Kentucky head hurters. This guy walker is a good singer but he doesn't look like them. Lol. My 1st cousin was there bouncer and sold their T-shirts for them.
Sounds great, Walker! Thanks for playing Hurricane, and good luck on The Voice. 💛
my God I'm such a fan!!! Tysm for you guys' music
That would be cool if the song helped generate 2 winners.

Ohhh my he has that Southern Rock, Country and Rock Vibe love it.

Personally, I care more about their ability to sing than their stage presence, but that's just me 😅
He does perform on stage often though. There’s a difference between being on stage though and knowing you’re going to be broadcasting to millions.
Well said
I totally agree and alittle move here & there with some tighter pants, Hi Walker, It's cougar💞
I love how supportive Carson always is.
I thought I was the only one that notices. It's so cool how hyper he is for the contestants.
@@Nattybymandy Exactly! Are you Nigerian as well? Your name sounds Nigerian, Igbo.
@@seunajayinigerian1279 lol yeah she should be
@seun Ajayi Yes, I am ❤
That' comment is so underrated... he truly is!!!!❤❤❤
Great mentor for this guy!!!
So glad I looked this up love his voice ❤
I love these types of country singers, especially the type of country singer that I would enjoy seeing in concert!
Wow what a voice for a 24 years old guy! Blake is the right coach for him! Good luck to him in the competition!!!😊😊👍👍
PERFECT VOICE. PERFECT COACH.
No doubt he’s really really good ! He took this song and knocked it out of the park ! Nice performance.
His voice is soothing
I love him already !!!
Actually my fav tone this season!
He’s the best performer tonight . 🎉
His voice could win this show!
lol
So focused. Good gravel to his vocal and he was singing right to the crowd. Not bad.
I felt like he was using too much growl in the chorus, I kept waiting to see whether he would be blue to hit those notes without using his growl!
@@ZevMeth_originaljewishmusic I loved it.
Walker wilson...that's a winners name
When Niall said Blake looked beautiful ❤️😭🥺 he's too cute ❤️😂
Jeeezzzz! He's 24!!!! Defenetly a great performance

GREAT song choice!

Tennessee whiskey
Take me to church
Ole red
I love this so much 💗
Great voice!
What.....a voice
Love this
He can growl well
I have drank a lot of beer with this man
WHEW !!!! HELL YEAH!!!!!
I'd love to hear him sing "I'm no Angel" by Greg Allman. Country Rock is his genre.
Oh this dude's got a hat, congrats you just won this season
No boots though. 😢😂❤
@@lianabaddley8217 oh you're right ! Maybe only top 3 then 😂
@@bboyfyzz7669 yeah. Sad to think how far he'd go IF he'd worn his boots. 😢🤠 Lol
Walker has a great country voice. He could sing either rock or country. Or country rock lol
I like his VOICE. We NEED TO BRING SOUTHERN ROCK BACK.
Gotdamn such a great tune
His voice at the beginning reminds me of Billy Ray in "old time road" i feel like that song could perfectly fit with his voice 🤔
He got that skynard rock..😁😎
you can see him perform at the river boat in Knoxville
Walker rushed the song a bit, but man the power and gravel in his voice were fascinating to listen to.
Não estou gostando de saber que essa é a última temporada do Blake.
Não será a mesma coisa.
Adoro todos, mas Blake da uma levantada no programa.
I hope those other three were listening to Blake - Old Red / God's Country - Blake's last kick at the can --- he's gearing up those country fans because he's taking this season - #10 win coming up
This aged well lol
He has a great voice in there and he chose a great song choice. It wasn't perfect but it was good enough to turn chairs and I could see him going far if he keeps improving. He lost control after Blake turned.
I really hope to hear him sing a Tyler Childers song like Lovely Lady May ❤
this dude sang at our hoco
This is good.what took judges so long?
Well, it's time for all the expert judges to drop the comments now.
He will go far and I think team Blake will when for his final season on 23
Sexxy Grit!!
Love Walker!!
Go Nashville!!
Great Job!! Talented!
Walker: *growls* hrrrrrr, I was bohrrrrrrn in the hrrrrrrain on the Ponhrrrrrhahrrrrrrrtrain
Kane: LOOOOOOOO COOOOOOOOO MIA!
I WOULD love to hear him sing an Alice in Chains song
Why the audio is so low, I have to crank up the volume to the max to hear something.
Dierks Bentley is that you?? He looks like him and the boys from Florida Georgia line I liked his raspiness so cute to
NBC, your inaccurate. This was a major hit and over a million seller for RCA artist Leon Everette in 1981. Any future recording is a cover. Love all the other covers, but give original credit where it's due please!
The first person I thought of was Waylon Jennings
I was thinking old red as soon he started singing

He's definitely good. But no one's touching Laine Hardy at this song
I wish there would be a show just for unknown not established song writers . In other words, just about the lyrics first
It started out great, but then he put too much growl in the chorus, I was waiting to hear whether he could hit the sort of high notes without using too much growl!
Do you have eyes to see / ears to hear ??????? Shepherd's Chapel Network !!!!!!!
Like Bob Dylan sings grunge! Wow Wow Wow
dayummm.. he is cute
He preformed at my shcool
4 chair turns should have happened there
Rasp is supposed to be an add on to a song, not all of it
Okay
THE RASP
This reminded me of Chad Kroeger
He needs some upchurch songs!
Sounds very Steve Earl ….
Please don't throw him out the window during battles. After You are done with them, the others won't pick them up. Country is hated.
He tried to hard with too much rasp
Good, but a little too nasal and overdoing the growling.
Walker is a good singer but he is no Kentucky head hurters . The Rs or the "growls" made him sound dumb. And I'm not gonna pretend it doesn't
I hope those contestant will quit at the same time as blake for others season…. I can’t with country
he was blah... not good
Laine hardy did it better
Boring
