Besides having a wonderful voice, she is clearly a special person too. I've never heard someone speak to the coaches with such an understanding of who they are. It wasn't just empty praise, but a heartfelt assessment of their effect on other (both contestants and fans alike).
When she said all those things to Blake,it made me tear up...He deserves it. He deserves to hear things like that. Blake is a beautiful human being inside and out.

I was saddened when Blake announced, this would be his last yr & now his last season. BUT I understood & greatly respect why Blake Shelton has made this yr his last. He will be greatly missed & I will miss him. I've watched from the very beginning. I STILL recall vividly during the 2nd Season, Christina Aguilera referred to Blake's heart!!! Albeit I get tired of the Kelly battle w/ Blake, I know deep down they're like siblings. She admired Blake at just how committed his was 2 the Artists he has worked w/, once they were done the show. I DO think a lot of it has been about Blake's HEART!!! I have the utmost respect, that the main reason is 4 the family guy he has become. Its SO obvious that Gwen's boys love Blake & in reality, I wouldn't b surprised that her youngest is closer 2 Blake than his biological Dad. He was only a baby when they got 2gether & obviously b/c it was during her pregnancy with him, that her husband had an affair. BUT...I just LOVE NIALL'S heart!!! I can see how they're similar!!! AND honestly think he could replace Blake Shelton!!! I love how Blake & Niall connect on the show. U can tell that Niall thinks a lot of him, as he said, he can c why ppl loved working w/ Blake. They're both so genuine, humble & the joy, I think NIALL could become the next, King of the Voice. Blake has won more than an other coach & NOT just w/ country artists!!! As Carson has said, in all 22 Seasons, Blake has NEVER had an Artist from his team NOT in the Finale!!! AND he's won more than any other Coach not just in the U.S. but globally!! But I would've NEVER thot NIALL on paper, would come across the way he does & the connection he already has made with Blake. I laughed in the last ep & I don't think Kelly saw, but Kelly & Blake were the only 2 who turned 4 the last girl. When it came time 2 choose, Niall kept pointing at Blake while smiling at the contestant. She chose Blake. I equally love, how Niall has reacted to the contestants. His enthusiasm is SO genuine!
I just love how they gave her a whole speech and then she turned around and lifted the judges up too. Thats just such a good gesture and she seems like a lovely person.
The fact that her amazing voice is the least of what she brings to the table is so beautiful. To know her charisma, great personality and encouraging words is out there in the world gives me hope.
She has such an amazing voice but I'm obsessed with her personality! The way she shows so much gratitude to be there and just radiates SO MUCH positivity, this is the kind of person I want to see go very far in life and she has the voice and stage presence to do so. Will be cheering her on for the rest of the season and beyond the show!
I really thought it was cool of Laura to acknowledge Blake and his impact for 23 seasons of the Voice. I liked it even better when Kelly gave him praise for what he has done for the show.

Me too. Honestly, I didn’t really like her singing but when she started speaking, I LOVED her personality. She was spunky, humble and so respectful to the judges. She did her homework and knew who she was getting judged by so huge props to her. I hope she goes far.

put her spin on Harry Styles, and it sounded hokey and tender and pretty dang great. Love the lilt to her voice, that quick vibrato. This kept growing and growing and ended beautifully intimate.
So this is my genre. We all tend to have little quirks in our voices and she absolutely fits right in. She needs to slow down her vibrato but everything else is pure Folk gold.
So vibrato has a scale based on how tight the waveform is. The speed. It's been a very long time since I learned about this so I'm explaining in simple terms. The range is from 1-6. The human ear is really drawn to a vibrato speed of 4 to 4.5. This triggers a biochemical response in our brains that we fine pleasurable. Faster vibrato is harder for us to listen too. It is annoying. I hope this makes sense. As to your other question, most vocalists have a natural vibrato speed. My natural speed is probably a 5. So I slow it down to closer to a 4. How I or anyone else does it? I have no idea how to explain it. I just do it. If you're really interested, I can do some research and let you know. Once I started actively slowing down my vibrato it became more normal to use that slower waveform. So much so that it feels off if I slip into the faster one. So now my natural vibrato is a 4 instead of a 5. Hers is more like a 6 and is really irritating. And there's no depth to the waveform. That's common with really fast vibrato. I'm so sorry I can't explain this better! I'm no voice teacher. Just a very experienced and natural vocalist.

She has this sound and tone like most of the greats, Jagger, Janis, Bob, Celine, Dave, Jimmy’s, you recognize their voices without seeing them but you know it’s them when they open their mouths. She has that distinct voice and like the ones I’ve mentioned, she sounds hauntingly beautiful and her tone is ear candy… I can’t wait to hear more from her… 👊🏼💯💙
A know people say 'A unique voice' about a lot of folks, but with Ms. Littleton over here, that's just the truth! I feel like after hearing her once, I could pick her voice out of a crowded room. Nobody sounds quite she does.
She has the heart and stage presence of a connecting start , she’s bright , she’s good with conversation and she’s so guiding with us audience, not only did she pull us towards her personality but she connected and engaged so well with the audience just with her words ! , that shows a journey of a song writer !! , she’s good with meaningful conversation and embracement ! , can’t wait to see her journey 🎉

Kelly blocked the wrong person. Her voice sounded more influential to Niall rather than to Blake. Although, I have to say she does have the emotions and the energy to bring out the important parts of the song, which tend to be difficult for a lot of people. Not the best "Sign of the Times" cover I've seen but it does have tons of potential.
I mean Niall and Harry were literally in a band together for almost 6 years, so of course, she works more in Niall's lane than Blake's. Niall and Harry's tastes are very similar in the sense of the pop genre compared to the other boys in the band so for This girl to work with Niall, is a match made in heaven (no pun intended). He'll guide her into that pop rock subgenre that him and Harry have mastered and make this girl a star.
Niall can easily relate to Harry since they've worked together for years. There's no way for an artist covering a song from a One Direction member to not choose a member of the One Direction band as his/her coach (unless that person is blocked).
I agree it wasn’t the best cover of the song- she clearly has an amazing voice but I think she overdoes the warbling voice every single word in the song- I actually thought she was super nervous the first part of the song and then realized it was intentional….. I also think the long comments to the judges came across as over confident and cocky for some reason- and I’m really not trying to be mean

So vibrato has a scale based on how tight the waveform is. The speed. It's been a very long time since I learned about this so I'm explaining in simple terms. The range is from 1-6. The human ear is really drawn to a vibrato speed of 4 to 4.5. This triggers a biochemical response in our brains that we fine pleasurable. Faster vibrato is harder for us to listen too. It is annoying. I hope this makes sense.
As to your other question, most vocalists have a natural vibrato speed. My natural speed is probably a 5. So I slow it down to closer to a 4. How I or anyone else does it? I have no idea how to explain it. I just do it. If you're really interested, I can do some research and let you know.
Once I started actively slowing down my vibrato it became more normal to use that slower waveform. So much so that it feels off if I slip into the faster one. So now my natural vibrato is a 4 instead of a 5.
Hers is more like a 6 and is really irritating. And there's no depth to the waveform. That's common with really fast vibrato. I'm so sorry I can't explain this better! I'm no voice teacher. Just a very experienced and natural vocalist.

She has this sound and tone like most of the greats, Jagger, Janis, Bob, Celine, Dave, Jimmy’s, you recognize their voices without seeing them but you know it’s them when they open their mouths. She has that distinct voice and like the ones I’ve mentioned, she sounds hauntingly beautiful and her tone is ear candy… I can’t wait to hear more from her… 👊🏼💯💙

Kelly blocked the wrong person. Her voice sounded more influential to Niall rather than to Blake. Although, I have to say she does have the emotions and the energy to bring out the important parts of the song, which tend to be difficult for a lot of people. Not the best "Sign of the Times" cover I've seen but it does have tons of potential.
I mean Niall and Harry were literally in a band together for almost 6 years, so of course, she works more in Niall's lane than Blake's. Niall and Harry's tastes are very similar in the sense of the pop genre compared to the other boys in the band so for This girl to work with Niall, is a match made in heaven (no pun intended). He'll guide her into that pop rock subgenre that him and Harry have mastered and make this girl a star.
Niall can easily relate to Harry since they've worked together for years. There's no way for an artist covering a song from a One Direction member to not choose a member of the One Direction band as his/her coach (unless that person is blocked).
I agree it wasn’t the best cover of the song- she clearly has an amazing voice but I think she overdoes the warbling voice every single word in the song- I actually thought she was super nervous the first part of the song and then realized it was intentional….. I also think the long comments to the judges came across as over confident and cocky for some reason- and I’m really not trying to be mean
