Thx Mate helped me alot and if someone wants to know at 1:59 before he enters the Building turn to the Right in the Bushes before the Mansion there's also a Statue
Thank you very much! Some of these secrets were incredibly well hidden and the shifting maps make things quite confusing. This video was extremely helpful. Appreciate it man cheers.
This was very helpful! Really don't like random-ish maps hiding secrets, but this had enough context to help me know when I was in a place that had something. Thanks!
Yep... Shadow Hills is probably the worst. It has so much variance in its random spawns that it doesn't even look like the same region when you spawn in sometimes.
Much appreciation for making this. Contrary to the first comment, I found showing the movement and general area to be very helpful, even on ones that had random generation. The Steam guides weren't nearly as useful, and you can forget about trying to use them in the overlay.
2:00 in this town before entering house you go to left side . There is on map shown places with stone rock wall. You can brake it and enter new part of the map
Thank you for the awesome guide, Just found out about this game from playing the first game, since it's free for xbox live gold members, can't believe I missed this when it came out
For the 10th in shadow hills, i started the side quest " heisenberg part 1 " i was almost to the end of the game btw. The big "black arrow" looking on the map is your first clue to where to go and the 2nd is the birdge with a checkpoind and the locked gate, the secret is at the oposite way of that gate.
It helps alot but it would be even more helpfull if specific mission areas would be shown. For example shadow hills are big and have a lot of side mission areas not just one big area. Kinda hard to find out which one has to be visited.
Im sorry but whoever made the decision to randomize the maps should be fuckin fired. This was not a fun achievement hell it didn't feel like one this was easily the most frustrating achievement ive done in awhile. If an achievement makes you feel like "oh my god its finally over" thats not a good thing.
The cave area is one of several different types of areas that can spawn on SOME of the Shadow Hills missions (I believe some Shadow Hills missions are incapable of spawning this cave area, especially missions that have objectives in city-based areas). It should be very obvious when you spawn whether or not you're in the caves... if you aren't, just restart the mission and try to get the spawn again. You may have to try several times on different Shadow Hills missions before you finally run into it. Also, you can always look at some other videos if you're only missing one or two secrets for the achievement. There are quite a few secrets in the story missions that aren't included in this video, simply because I missed them during my playthrough(s).
Couldn’t get 1-2 in Shadow Hills spam together. I got the 1 twice but the rest of the layout was completely different. Still rolling...Whoever was behind the idea of randomizing secrets clearly has a grudge against completionists. Or it’s a just very cruel trolling.
Yes, that's possible. The maps are created by piecing together pre-built "map chunks", and sometimes certain chunks don't spawn in when you load a level. There are certain map-chunks that always spawn together, and others that don't. I tried to showcase map chunks that spawn together listed one after the other, but unfortunately it's still a fairly confusing system for people trying to collect all the secrets. Honestly though, there are a lot more secrets in the game than 50. Pick up the ones you can from the guide, and then do a little exploring. Another tip - there are far more comprehensive story mission guide videos out there, I believe one is linked in this video's description. Following one of those might also help get your secret count up a bit faster.
I haven't played the Playstation version, so I'm not sure. If you have a save from before when you hit level 50, you could try loading that and levelling again. Or, you could always start a completely new file. Maybe you have to allocate all of your skill points too? I'm really not sure what else you would need to do.
Not sure on that one. I believe if you've found a secret, it should continue to count towards your total, but not 100% sure. Maybe someone else from the comments can confirm!
muy buen video platino conseguido si no os aparecen los secretos es recargar el mismo mapa hasta encontrarlos algunos salen directamente en la parte del video
I believe there's actually an initial player spawn point just outside of that cave - try reloading on Shadow Hills multiple times to see if you spawn on a wooden ledge/platform just outside of it. (I may be remembering that wrong though, it's been quite some time.) The secret that's shown right after it (#11) behind the water wheel can also be used as a landmark to look for in some cases - but the spawns are not always reliable of course, which is the frustrating part of looking for secrets in Free Roam.
Yep, head to the settings menu ( while loaded into your save, not sure if it matters) , there'll be the challenge/trophy section and click onto it. It should show you how many achievements you need and how many more secrets you need ^^
great guide, but should have more focus on how to spawn on the Free roam part, where to start for each "highlight" :) for example, to get to calamity town, spawn in ninja scroll sidequest or whatevs
The spawn points are randomised for Free Roam missions, and not every map-chunk is guaranteed to load, even when entering the map from a familiar spawn location (except for Zilla City, which has random spawn points but is a static, sure-shot map every time from what I remember). I played around a lot with spawns and connected map chunks when putting the video together, and there wasn't really a way to clearly define Free Roam secret locations outside of the three main environments, "Calamity Town", "Shadow Hills", and "Zilla City"... listing all 10 or so of the Free Roam missions linked to each of those environments seemed like it wouldn't be that helpful to people who were already familiar with these areas anyway. The best I could do was show secrets that were guaranteed to spawn close to one another, so that if people happened across those areas, they'd be able to navigate to the other nearby secrets. It's not a perfect video by any means. For the most part, I think it's best to use it by watching through to get a sense of where secrets are typically hidden, and then looking around for yourself (at least for the Free Roam secrets). There are well over 50 secrets in the game, and if you have a general idea of where to look, I'm sure you'll find tons of them that aren't even included in this video.
yeah i get the point, but would only help if you showed kinda wich one you spawn spammed on and such, to get to that point, since you have several "side mission free roam" spawn points on the same "city" so to speak, but i like the guide and it has helped me alot, i only need 7 more, im not sayin how you should do thing, i still like the vid :D and i guess ill just have to continue search
I dont get the point if it's randomly generated. You'd have to get lucky just to get these secrets which just adds to the frustration of finding it in the first place. I can only assume this design choice was so you'd really be forced to search instead of resort to a guide in the first place.
There is not, but if you've already beat the game, you can select New Game, and it's like new game + (you keep everything) sorry I just had to answer your question 4 years later
Well the sidequest maps are randomly generated so he is relying on landmarks. I used his guide to find them all albeit I was only interested in getting 50 for the achievement.
this is where I gave up on trophy hunting in this otherwise good game. good friggin' luck with randomly generated location layouts and different side missions in same locations leading to different secrets. duh. collectibles as such are a waste of time, but here they're on a whole other level.
It could be very useful this video but taking the mission, the rest is useless because you do not know how to get where the videos starts .... I already tested all the places of travel quickly and do not find the places where the videos start. For me it's useless.
This is such fucking bullshit, I enjoyed this game but this achievement is so stupid, there's no skill, a challenge or anything hard to overcome, just reloading the free roam over and over again for hours on end for a chance to get the same map, i love RNG achievements.. said no one ever..
I can understand the frustration - this isn't as helpful as a traditional secrets guide, because the locations are randomised for Free Roam. At the very least, the video should give you a general idea about where secrets are usually hidden.
You saw through my scheme, but it is too late. After hours of compiling these "statue" locations, also referred to regularly as "secrets" throughout the game, I have created the ultimate clickbait... with my 10,000 views, I can now obtain several CENTS worth of revenue, with which I will fund my secret doom laser... thanks to your clever discovery, you leave me with no choice but to select your household directly as my first target. Thanks to TH-cam's handy comment location tracking technology, identifying where you pesky do-gooders are hiding is easier than ever. You'd better seek new residence soon or suffer the ill effects of my evil ploy.
Thx Mate helped me alot and if someone wants to know at 1:59 before he enters the Building turn to the Right in the Bushes before the Mansion there's also a Statue

Big thx buddy
Just Found It
Thank you very much! Some of these secrets were incredibly well hidden and the shifting maps make things quite confusing. This video was extremely helpful. Appreciate it man cheers.
After 6 years, I finally have 50 secrets thanks to this guide! I cannot thank you enough!
This was very helpful! Really don't like random-ish maps hiding secrets, but this had enough context to help me know when I was in a place that had something. Thanks!
@8:45 The marking for the secret is to the right of the tree in the center of one of the rocks. It blends insanely well.
I got cancer from getting that free roam Shadow Hills. I could not get some leyouts in 30 min...
Yep... Shadow Hills is probably the worst. It has so much variance in its random spawns that it doesn't even look like the same region when you spawn in sometimes.
I'm probably going to give up the free roaming ones are way too difficult to find.
With this guide, the achievement was much easier than I had expected. Thank you!
The binary message at 26:30 translates to "greetings from Warsaw"
Thanks alot for the video! Great explanation, and very well shown. you've earned a sub with this. hoping to see more in the future
Much appreciation for making this. Contrary to the first comment, I found showing the movement and general area to be very helpful, even on ones that had random generation. The Steam guides weren't nearly as useful, and you can forget about trying to use them in the overlay.
Nice, had 50 by the time I hit Ancestral Ties in my second playthrough. Great video guide, thanks!
2:00 in this town before entering house you go to left side . There is on map shown places with stone rock wall. You can brake it and enter new part of the map
Thank you for the awesome guide, Just found out about this game from playing the first game, since it's free for xbox live gold members, can't believe I missed this when it came out
Thanks for this. Those secrets are hard to find....
This achivement is such a pain
After so many hours I finally found 50. Thank you
For the 10th in shadow hills, i started the side quest " heisenberg part 1 " i was almost to the end of the game btw.

Thank you so much for the guide, finally got the achievement!!! 😎👍🏻
Now it's time to grind for those stupid Orbs of Masamune...ughh
Thanks so much, I was missing 9 of them, it was running me crazy.
10,000,000 Zillyeni Thanks. I would have been struggling unto eternity without this guide.
It helps alot but it would be even more helpfull if specific mission areas would be shown.
For example shadow hills are big and have a lot of side mission areas not just one big area.
Kinda hard to find out which one has to be visited.
Side Quest Mission Maps are randomly generated
6:00 lol I jumped at that and dashed at it a few times, must have just been catching my legs.
Great video, nicely done and compiled. All best to you!

Found one you missed to on industrial espionage. Bottom floor of the news building theres a health statue its right next to it
can someone help me with the cave at 16:48?? i cant seem to come across this level at all not sure what im missing

StyleKrong thanks il try that :) one last question do i have to to complete the game in order to spawn this level or it shouldn't matter?
all good i found this area :D was on the mission ninja'd scrolls part 1
Oh my God how tf do they expect us to find those things 🤣😭
What gun are you holding? I can’t seem to find it on the shadow warrior 2 wiki page for weapons(unless I just completely missed it)
You absolute legend. Thank you
best secrets tutorial! thanks so much!!!
Great guide. Much appreciated.
Muito obrigado mano,,consegui a platina seguindo seu vídeo.bom trabalho 😎

What's the name of the last song played, with the retro sound? Amazing soundtrack
It's Miami Disco from Hotline Miami.
I finished the game and every mission bit don't have all the guns is there a video on the location of each?
18:23 i can not find the first location in Calamity town. Are there sometimes some areas there get shut off?
Yes, that's possible. The maps are created by piecing together pre-built "map chunks", and sometimes certain chunks don't spawn in when you load a level.
There are certain map-chunks that always spawn together, and others that don't. I tried to showcase map chunks that spawn together listed one after the other, but unfortunately it's still a fairly confusing system for people trying to collect all the secrets.

StyleKrong Okay thanks man, i appreciate it 👍 i miss 20 secrets so i can probably just do the story missions since i miss a lot from there
Anyway i got the 50secrets by your guide, thanks for it good job 👍👍
Thanks man, great work !
thank you so much, ur guide helped alot
Thanks a lot for this! Helped me find all 50!
In a few cave the hole is in there but the game dont let you inside to get the secret, that happend in shadow hills
good video, gave up at the procedurally generated bullshit, hate when games hide things behind something that might not be there.
how can you keep your weapons through playthrough two?
I believe there's a New Game+ option.
So once you complete the main story you can still get the free roam secrets at anytime?
Yep.
thx for the video, the trophy grandmaster has glitch, any advice?
I haven't played the Playstation version, so I'm not sure. If you have a save from before when you hit level 50, you could try loading that and levelling again. yes I'm going to play again,is very cool game so, I hope this time unlock the trophy.Thank you for answering
Did you do the wang in the box christmas mission? There is a statue underneath a back porch. I can see it but can't find how the hell to get to it.
I did play it, but I don't think I came across the secret you're talking about... sorry!
You really should have pressed M and keep the map big.
nice vid do
Which gun are u holding where u get that gun
Thank you for your time
When you go into new game plus, will every collectible count towards the achievement/trophy? Or only the ones you have missed
Not sure on that one. I believe if you've found a secret, it should continue to count towards your total, but not 100% sure. Maybe someone else from the comments can confirm!
@@StyleKrong I just tried, it's only the ones you have missed

thanks but should have kept the map on
Jesus, this achievement is insufferable. Is there any way to track progress?
Yep, head to the settings menu ( while loaded into your save, not sure if it matters) , there'll be the challenge/trophy section and click onto it. It should show you how many achievements you need and how many more secrets you need ^^
where do you get that weapon

The game effectively has a "New Game+" mode, so you'll keep your progress/equipment from the previous play through.
I know that but can we do the first level but our weapons will be there
@@x-ler2066 Yep, they should be there.

Start from the beginning of the map some where so we know the point of your location. Thumbs down
The maps are randomised

Das schlechteste Video aller Zeiten. Schlecht geschnitten und nicht dem storyverlauf folgen. Schlecht gezeigte spawnpunkte. Einfach nur übel.
Very hard to follow, took almost 6 hours. Steam has better text and image based guides.
