      @@Imleocalm I did. I gave Honda several updates as my car approached a million. I've been told that Honda has had some management changes over the years and the new people don't care much about owner stories.
      Either way, I wish you luck on your journey. You're getting close. By my count, I'm one of 12 Hondas that hit a million. There were a couple stories of ones really close, but never public confirmation they hit it so I assumed they did. No Acuras, but likely 12 Hondas have hit it.

    It’s true! Newer Civics still last up to 700,000+, but the 2016-8 Civics with the 1.5 liter turbo engines are the ones that have oil dilution problems. Gladly, Honda fixed it with the 2019 year.

    • @razvanaxinie4495
      @razvanaxinie4495 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      oil dillution happens in any direct-injected car. it is by design, and the only way to get rid of gas in oil is to drive for longer periods of time with the engine at operating temperature.
      if i drive in the city or just start the car and stop it i can smell gasoline when i check the oil. once i drive tens of miles and check it again, the smell is gone.

      Imleocalm said on his other video that the turbo only kicks in at 3000RPM during eco mode and 2000RPM during non-eco mode. That means he's using the car always in eco mode, thus less turbo usage. Does that mean you are not using eco mode, and therefore the turbo gets used a lot. And how much did it cost to replace the turbo? Thanks in advance

    Your miles are highway miles whith the engine is basically idling all the time so by the data highway miles are 70% to 80% less wear than city driving whith makes alot sense so when you reach 1 million it would be basically 200k to 300k miles whith is not alot anyway. Driving highway the way you do you should expect at least 1.5 million miles, it will be impressed if you reach 2 million but for now it's just average compared to city driving. Go drive ubber and let's see if it can last 300k miles, I have a friend that did reach 300k miles on his 2018 civic only city driving, 2 transmissions replaced a couple head gasket but no engine rebuild yet so let's see

    I never hear about medical couriers that put on 1 million miles on their car getting to retire early from their jobs. You guys spend so much money on maintenance and gas, that it just eats up your paycheck. You had better be a mechanic, so you can do your own repairs yourself, because just all the parts are so expensive. Your supposed to replace your water pump and thermostat and timing belt every 100,000 miles. I think it is best to get a high paying job, where you don't have to use your car for it. I have enjoyed your journey, but I really worry about you dude and don't want to see you go broke.

    Hey 1.5 turbo Honda Civic 2017 with 200K Strick 10K service and I am like my car is my income, but this car is very good and also very shit. It seems like good engine, good transmission auto, but the rest is not so good. Interior quality is rattling rubbish, door trims the rubber is just pushed into place to seal what rubbish, infotainment system works, or it don't. Front tyers wear out quickly. Really, you're still going to get better value from a Toyota in the long run then a Honda as the Honda is far from perfect as I own one. I'd say spend more and buy a Lexus for true quality and reliability. Happy to be proven wrong. Cheers
