For a few years I owned the only green one in the UK so if you google 'Venturi 300 Atlantique' and its comes up with a green one RHD and reg number R3PPB - then thats the one - its been sold a few times since - last time was up for £48K. However on the extraordinarily rare occasion it worked it was sublime, one of the best handling cars I have ever had, which includes some exotica including a Dino and a Lotus Elise and a TVR Cerbera - fond memories but no thanks - not again - in fact not ever !!

Wow! Amy gearhead that also loved video games like grand tourismo would actually instantly recognize this as some of the more obscure types of cars like TVRs, Peugeot, Citroen, Renault, RUFF, Alfa Romeo, ;& more!
" Peugeot, Citroen, Renault; obscure types of cars". Maybe in the US, because these brands have left this market for about thirty years, but for information, Peugeot, Citroen, and Renault, are respectively N°2 and 3 on the European car market, one of the 3 largest in the world. French brands are present on all continents, except North America, and in 2024, French automakers are still ranked in the world top 10.
Haven’t heard of Venturi in a long while. Sure these cars would make a good GTA 5 car with mixed features of previously released cars from other marques.

Meanwhile, Ferrari still struggles with such advanced concepts as selling the car in a color that the CUSTOMER wants, not whichever buckets they need to get rid of that week.
I absolutely ❤️ the look of this car inside and out, and sounds like a great engine, however in reading comments from people who have dealt with it, I'm afraid I'm thoroughly spoiled by the reliability of Lexus, so I will only admire it from afar. 😢
I see a blend of various vehicles. Straight on, C4 Corvette and at the rear I see some Ferrari 355. From the 3/4 angle starting the windshield onto the hood, a 1989 Ford Thunderbird. I'm not familiar with Venturi, but I like it.
Not once did you mention that it was MID ENGINE .... and WHY does a Porsche 944 keep appearing ? but you did pique my curiousity about the brand and car - so hazza for that

It's definitely cool. But I wouldn't say the design is anything unique. It's basically the Giugiaro Lotus Esprit with the motor in the front. Also, this definitely sounds like it was written by AI.

Good looking car, especially the 300! It's aged well.
One of my favorite designs ever. I found out about it on l’Automobile
My family had a 944 Turbo and a VW Corrado. This looks like the product of both (with a strong hint of MR2 tail lights)... but showing that red 944 at least three times in this video was confusing. Looks like you had trouble finding enough footage of the actual Vinturi! Cool car, whatever the case.
talk about almost completely copying the 348 lol
Not a bad thing
@@redtesta except it's the other way around. Venturi was first with the prototype in 1984 and production running in 1987. The 348 came out in 1989.
Looks more like a lotus on the interior
@@olddirtyburt7522 Interesting take!
Very nice car! I never heard of it.
Cool
It looks like a 90’s Supra and a Lotus had a kid. 30 seconds in and it’s at least a beautiful car.
Venturi factory total production during 14 years, 1986/2000, was about 700 cars, in the historical factory located near the city of Nantes, on the French Atlantic coast. In 2000, the brand was purchased by the Monegasque billionaire Pastor, and transferred in Monaco, southern France. Today, the company still exists but produce only electric cars, mainly for records.
Love it id drive one shame they weren't bigger the look is fantastic an quick to beats any ev in my book

The V6 installed in the venturi models, (200, 210, 260, 300 BHP) had absolutely nothing to do with the original engine, the French PRV, which had also equipped the De Lorean, in a much less powerful version of only 135 BHP. Everything, or almost, had been modified, or changed by the Venturi factory. Pistons, camshaft, connecting rods, new injection system, etc... So much so that Venturi had it homologated as their own engine. Much more powerful versions of 500 or 600 BHP had even been developed for the racing Venturi's, during the 24 hours of Le Mans, for example.

Meanwhile, Ferrari still struggles with such advanced concepts as selling the car in a color that the CUSTOMER wants, not whichever buckets they need to get rid of that week.
Only found out about this car from gt2 and I used to get so upset it was faster than a viper GTS coupe 😂
I RACE SLOT CARS . THIS CAR IS A WINNING CAR. VERY GOOD AERO DESIGN.
Not once did you mention that it was MID ENGINE .... and WHY does a Porsche 944 keep appearing ? but you did pique my curiousity about the brand and car - so hazza for that
a SECRET beast.
1. its not a SECRET anymore, you saw to it, but according to you its still a SECRET.
2. When you think of your viewers, do you imagine them to be women and children.
Very much like Alpine from From france who helped a lot with Renault, they produced some seriously quick machinery....
It looks like a Fiero got a Ferrari REALLY intoxicated and this is what happened.
The wheels look 348 Ferrari the C pillars look LOTUS the front looks Supra Nissan240 WOW... I actually wouldn't mind one of these, current tech would easily get another 150 hp.
Looks like a 348 , MR2 and lotus esprit.
The first 6 minutes was really just the same pictures rotated over & over, and so much generalised waffle to turn 90 seconds of real information into that magic 8-10 minute target……. oh, wait, they did 3 more repeats again after 6 minutes….and delivered 15 seconds of real info
I learnt more reading the comments than watching the video.
I'm sorry you need visualization so much?
It has the VW Corrado ..sort of/ '88 Supra, Lotus front, and '90s Corvette side.
Gives Nissan 300Z vibes. Nice car!
Stop using a AI voice and use your real voice
It's definitely cool. But I wouldn't say the design is anything unique. It's basically the Giugiaro Lotus Esprit with the motor in the front. Also, this definitely sounds like it was written by AI.
All Venturis are mid-engined.
@@helmutgottanka9482 ahh, ok
@@evelcustom9864 the design is not unique, like you said. But the execution is good. My favourite is the Atlantique 300, which is at some points to see in the video, sometimes mistakenly.
If you care about criticizing the uniqueness, take a look at the 400gt, and try to not think about a certain F40😉
Lotus killer that's what we called it. Awesome car like an alpine 610.
Great video and very interesting this is apc where as Ferrari was fof. What is fof, that's form over function.
I miss pop up headlights!
These things look awesome and will always remind me of GTA
Was this script writren by an AI?
The pictures of the wrong engine, and short clips of a Porsche definitely were…..
@@commodorenut But did you listen to the text? They're talking about catalytic converters and spoilers and aerodynamics like it was a brand new concept that people don't know about. It's all just fluff. "This car have a spoiler, and that makes the car handle better" it's childs play. I severly doubt a human has been involved in writing that text.
@@ingvarhallstrom2306 I was agreeing with you, pointing out not just the text, but also the incorrect video & pictures that were included. In fact, one of my other comments on here was:

No I missed that comments of yours, thank you! At least I'm not alone thinking this stinks. I'm afraid we're going to see more of this in the future, nonsense information that doesn't really tell anything new, or even anything worth telling.
@@ingvarhallstrom2306 Yes, AI is already ruining YT, and the human creator exodus has already started. YT need to keep up with the times and stop trying to penny-pinch human creators, or the rise of AI-bot created rubbish will be astronomical. I guess if someone came up with an alternate platform to YT that blocked AI it would likely do well.
they were great in gran turismo 2

Man I forgot about about Venturi
Lister
Marcos
Panoz
Dauer
Cizeta
Isdera
Italdesign
My visual opinion seems to differ from others i see a ferrari mixed with a rx7
4:07 That is a third Gen F body 2.8 V6 !! 135 hp. C'mon, bro !!!
How many times are you going to show that Porsche 944? Why? There was only one moment that mentions other manufactures that could be said was valid.
It’s a knockoff of a Lotus Esprit from the 90s.
Looks like a 80s Corvette had a three way with a Lotus and a Supra….not a bad looking kid though.
6.22 id recognise those climate controls anywhere. Peugeot
I can see all the cars they nicked styling cues from.
Venturi looks a like of Mitsubishi Starion
Me trying to figure out if it's Japanese, American or Italian from the thumbnail: 😵💫
Why does that look so much like the GM 2.8L V6 from the 80s
Looks like a Toyota Celica and a touch of VW Corrado..
You left out the 400GT.
The front of the car looks like a corvette
Better yet was the Scora
That's a Volkswagen Corrado SLC with pop up headlights!
This video is very incomplete. This model is only one of the many Venturi models that existed. On the other hand, Venturis are hand-built cars, with luxurious interior finishing, and careful assembly. Nothing to do with mass-produced cars like Volkswagen.

@@JEANAIMARE-kc1vd Correct. My point was that it looks similar. I drove a Corrado for five years and really appreciated it's shapel.
Yeah but as soon as there’s any real threat on the race track they head right to the pit.
Great car, boring video.
Please edit out the red Porsche coming through the gate! You keep showing it....it's not a Venturi!
add side air intake vents , f355.
Lol, the FIRST THING that I’d do would be a cat delete.
Nobody knows about it because it was a super low production car from a minuscule company.
It's also not very impressive in the face of a hot hatch from not even a decade after it. No video about it mentions it's cost either which is very telling.
Lotus excel copy. The 400 is a Ferrari f-40 copy
Bitter comment spotted
Its a good looking machine . But it definitely renders a ford probe and a Ferrari 348 targa and that offspring gets with a Porsche 928 and a gen 1 Mitsubishi 300 gt and they got with a lotus esprit se and a Toyota supra gen 1 ( i think) and possibly accident at Uncle Bmw M 1's Arkansas lake garage. And the 300gt ,probe supra , and lotus ... possibly the M1 too can go on Maury and determine who's chinn spoiler it got to compliment the fascia.
This is not very good for your credibility: you illustrate the release of the “Coupé” venturi with the photo of a “300 Atlantique” launched much later!🤨
