Dear mr de la Rosa. I have made this recepy yesterday. This is truly the most insane pepoer oil I have ever made and tasted(with cinnamon off course). And I have made a lot of your recipies but this one will go thru the family from now on. Thank you very much sir👌👍👊
I will be making this pepper oil this Saturday I cannot wait I love Caribbean anything my son's father is from Guyana so I'm excited to have something new for him something from home. His mom makes the peppersauce but I think I want to follow your recipe and see how he likes that one
Thanks, Chris De La Rosa...I grow my own peppers and it's harvest time. I used mostly malaguetas peppers red and green, in the Caribbean, they're called birds eye peppers. The malaguetas give it a rich deep almost smoked flavor with an after-thought type of heat. **Save the seasoning herbs, put them in food processor to make a smooth paste to marinate various meats and fowl for the grill.
I enjoyed your videos so many months ago, but unfortunately, I didn't subscribe, and I lost your channel, so happy to find you again! I'm not going near that Chocolate 7 Pot, I have some Carolina Reaper seeds that have germinated recently. I also have, Pepper XXX, that are recently germinated seeds and growing very slowly. BTW, The scent you described, is otherwise known as Pepperspray! Listen to him, WEAR THE GLOVES! I never knew my hands and fingers would go numb. THEY WILL! FOR Hours! That Peppasauce looks absolutely AWESOME! New SUB, definitely not losing your channel again!
Wow...this looks amazing! I believe in a strong flavored condiment and this one will make me happy happy! I must find some good peppers. Thanks for sharing this recipe...this one has no choice but to be super tasty and add the heat! Thanks again!
Hi Rae-Ann...all I did was slice the Scotch Bonnet peppers (including seeds) into small pieces and put them un a wide mouth sealer-type jar. I packed the jar with as many as I could get in...pushing them down with a potato masher...then poured Mount Gay Eclipse into the jar until it was full. Seal the lid and leave... If I made something that I wanted to heat up a little...I just spooned off the liquid and added as much as I needed. You can always top it up once the liquid is down a bit and also use the peppers themselves too. Lasts forever...
Hi Chris. Susan from Italy. Originally from The Seychelles. Love watching your videos. We call this chilli oil. Very very very hot but lovely with fried fish and plain white boiled rice. Yummy.... bravo for your recipes.
Great pepper oil. I usually make sauce but this is easier. Question I usually keep it in the fridge. Can I leave it on the counter? One mistake I made a few years back is I filled my bottle with more pepper than oil.
The white pepper you showed which I think you called pimento.... Do you have seeds of? I looked online and the pimento peppers I saw were all red and more circle in shape
I’m a fan of your channel from some years ago... I also have my Mexican version lol... I use dried oregano, fresh garlic, dried bay leaf, black pepper and salt.. like you say pure faia!!
I usually put a coffee filter on the chute of the chopper and LIGHT SOME CANDLES!!! It burns up some of the escaping oils from the pepper. The heat from candles will draw the oils floating around.
I've never made this kind of pepper before. I am definitely interested. Do you think it will throw off the taste much if I use coconut oil to make this?
Coconut oil will get hard when it cools so you will have a paste instead of oil. I say it is your choice. If you choose coconut oil you will have to stir it occasionally as it cools to keep the pepper from sinking and the coconut oil floating on top.
Great video I would like to know after all The oil in the jars are used up can I just warm up some more plan vegetable oil and pour it in the jars or do I have to throw away the peppers that’s in the jars and start over again thanks
@Mz Dee Mz Dee Go to Etsy.com and search for each pepper by name e.g., "trinidad pimento peppers fresh" or "seeds". You can get all the peppers he uses in his recipes. You can also buy shadow beni/culantro/ recao/ngo gai (vietnamese name); fresh or seeds.
Mustard oil may pose a serious risk because it contains high levels of erucic acid. In 2016, the FDA issued a warning that mustard oil is not safe to use in cooking because of its high erucic acid content. This means that the FDA do not permit its use as a cooking oil in the United States. Just goggled.🤔
As gorgeous as it is my mouth will be in flames. I can handle some heat but not that lol. In all honesty I love your videos keep it coming. I envy you my dad and older sister they can handle it but.....not poor little ole me mild and medium please 😭.
Thank you Chris. I am sooo glad you are not leaving. I depend on your recipes. GOD BLESS.

caribbeanpot thanks most appreciated 👊🏼👊🏼
Chris...I did a similar recipe but instead of spiced oil, I used Mount Gay Eclipse...turned out very nice to add to stews, etc...
RUM! Luv it
I get my MG for free. I must try that.
Hi, can you explain what you did with the rum please, did you infuse the rum with the sweet spices before adding to the pepper?

From Trinidad nice pepper sauce.

Nice one Chris !Can you do a black cake recipe ?
did one about 6-7 yrs back.. on here on the channel
Hey Chris can we use powdered spices and or coconut oil?
Great pepper oil. I usually make sauce but this is easier.
Question I usually keep it in the fridge. Can I leave it on the counter?

Omy that looking real good I will try it but why chive keep up it good job 😘😘😘😘😘😘😘
oooo I wanna make this. if I was in Florida at one of the Caribbean stores it would be so much easier to find these things
Good
Omg i am likeing that pepper oil i going to try this one
I'm curious about growing scotch bonnets. Do the leaves taste like anything?
My mouth watering.
Well done 👍🏽
much luv bro
The white pepper you showed which I think you called pimento.... Do you have seeds of? I looked online and the pimento peppers I saw were all red and more circle in shape
Love it 🥰
Can I use olive oil
This will be delicious....in January✌🏽
do try.. enjoy
bravo
I can't wait to make this!

How is this used? On your food or during cooking?
I use mine on foods that are cooking, sandwiches, soups, just where ever you need pepper!
@@ranivonwurttemberg7174 thank you!
With your food, or add little when finished cooking to your dish. 🤗
Every time you don't peal your ginger, I feel some affirmation. I scrub it really good with a stiff brush but I am never peeling again!
I’m a fan of your channel from some years ago... I also have my Mexican version lol... I use dried oregano, fresh garlic, dried bay leaf, black pepper and salt.. like you say pure faia!!
sounds very interesting

Hello Trinidad in here

@@caribbeanpot YUM! Will give it a try. US, Minnesota here. Need this kind of heat right now. Lol
Thanks
most welcome
Could i just add vinegar instead of the oil? I'd like to try my shot at hot sauce with this.
I've never made this kind of pepper before. I am definitely interested. Do you think it will throw off the taste much if I use coconut oil to make this?
need a neutral tasting oil
Coconut oil will get hard when it cools so you will have a paste instead of oil. I say it is your choice. If you choose coconut oil you will have to stir it occasionally as it cools to keep the pepper from sinking and the coconut oil floating on top.
Why didn't you let the oil cool before adding it to the peppers? Is the goal to cook the peppers using the residual heat from the oil?
I didn't know about mustard oil! OMG. My fav anchar is dry mango soaking with mustard oil. Ugh lol
yea, keep away from that one yea
@@caribbeanpot" Mustard essential oil" is safer than mustard oil because of the erucic acid content

You use the peppers inside as well, not just the oil
Help meh!!! Ah cyan take this!! Yuh killin' meh.....lol....love it....
nooo.... my bad
ASMR the snapping of the peppers off the vine
I'm assuming coconut oil will work as well?
it can, but I fear it's got a flavor on it's own already.. try something neutral
@@caribbeanpot gotcha!
Devine, niceness, flavour!!!😂
With all the bad health going on, it this healthy for us? Can vegetable oil be substituted with something else Chris?
I use olive oil..and it tastes great
@@karminiparsan4440 thank you. That's what imma try.
I enjoyed this but where's the scotch bonnet?
Yuum
Do you ship it?
*tasty spice
Do your research on canola and soybean oil as well.
Good lord, I feel like I can smell that through the screen.
you probably could.. delicious

I like hot but not crazy hot...I wonder if you could make this with a mix of bell sweet peppers so it'd be less hot?
@@debras3806 good idea I wonder because if so I'd definitely use it instead of making it for knowledge or as a gift to some one who likes hot
