    We have a store near me, they sell those jars for $2-$3 each, all new, different sizes, I have bought several, they have a lot of the foreign jars, some really cool stuff, I do notice they are heavy with the jam/jelly in them, but they are so pretty, I do increase the canning time when using only because of the size difference.

    I wouldn't want to give them as gifts, they are too cute.

    I love strawberry jam and blackberry. The jars are very pretty. They are pricey but my sister loves to make strawberry and blueberry jam and these jars would be perfect for a gift for her. Thank you for the video.

    I love strawberries and this is a great recipe for not having to use pectin. I always fear I’m going to screw up the pectin for some reason. Those jars ARE STINKING CUTE!! Thanks for sharing this recipe for jam and those really cute jars!

    Hi Jeni! My daughter’s friend is flying over from the UK and I was trying to get some Kilner jars brought over. I will find out by Thursday if that happens.
    I love homemade strawberry 🍓 jam. The tad of foam doesn’t bother me either, I’m sure not going to waste it. I have skimmed it off and added it to ice cream. Thanks for sharing and have a blessed day!

    And been talking to myself since 2012 or so to start canning my own. But I never got around to doing it. I just need to continue I guess looking at vids to get my confidence. And do all the steps on my own. I’m more of a manual person then visual.

    Speaking of overpriced jars, 😂, the grocery store had a 4 pack of ball pint jars with bees on the side! Yeah, I got a set and they did sell out, so I'm not the only easy mark
    Take care!

    I have scooped off the foam and dehydrated it to make fruit leather.

    The jars are super cute. I need to try making strawberry jam again and while it tasted good it looked kind of reddish brown?? Have you ever used red food coloring??

    The jars are adorable! Can you make any fruit jam like this or is it only strawberry? Just curious because sometimes I can't find pectin.

    • @Jeni_Gough
      @Jeni_Gough  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Only fruits with natural pectin in them.
