- The slip bobber rig is one of the deadliest techniques for catching mid summer walleyes. Getting a leech in front of these fish fast is key and the best way to do it is with tungsten!

LOVED this episode, not only for the great slip bobber info but for fact I was thinking about my daughter and how she would have a hoot fishing with people like you. Haha... I have been dragging her to Lac Seul to sleep in tents and to fish all day, to Eagle, Wabigoon and every little backwoods lake in between since she was about three years old but feel bad at times as it's always with the "guys". Please keep up these videos as it gives me hope that her and her girlfriends will end up on amazing trips just like this as they grow older.

I need to catch more walleyes this summer! I stay at a resort in the summer that has so many walleyes in it they have a special slot limit (under 14, 1 over 20), yet I've never found them! Crystal clear lake, I'm pretty sure they come out at night when I'm sleeping :-)
Good luck and if your lake has sand grass that’s a really good starting point! No matter the conditions - most clear lakes have sand grass.

It would be nice if you would show how to use the bait and what kind of bobber and how it is rigged!
They have another video about slip bobber fishing where they give more details.
Basically, tie on a bobber stop and slide it up the line. Then add a small bead. Then add the slip bobber. They use a Northland Tackle Lite Bite Slip Bobber. I believe it is a 7/8 sized bobber. Then below that they add a small split shot. Then tie on a bare hook for regular slip bobber fishing or a jig head for “Power” slip bobber fishing. You put the leech on with the hook going through the sucker on the narrow side of the leech.
I wish my wife had as much interest in fishing as these gals, quality time, too bad.
