  • The MP for Kade was one of the people arrested when the War Against Indiscipline was taken to the Legon road.
He got angry because the team was 'delaying' him from working for the national interest.

My confidence in Ghana Police is gradually being restored. My worry, however, is that if this excercise had been done in the absence of a camera and City News, the result may have been different. The Police may have given in to the bullying tactics of the "big men".

The arrogance of these so called "honorables" makes one extremely sick. If a parlimentrain or anybody else needs to be in parliament ot wherever by 08h00, then they must be up early to drive. For any to exhibit such repurgnant behaviour by suggesting that what they are about is in the interest of the nation and that everybody else's business is unimportant and not in the national interest is the height of arrogance and pomposity. If this is the calibre of leadership this country has then it is not surprising why we are not getting anywhere. I just wish something could teach these guys some ethics and measure of decency.

The problem is your roads in Accra. Too narrow and not very good in some spots which causes traffic congestion. This is what is now forcing driving indiscipline on the roads. Come to Abuja, Nigeria's capital and learn how a city is to be planned with a wide expansive road network. You will not find hundreds of policemen having to patrol the roads all the time. This was the issue Nigeria had and still has with Lagos, which is why the capital had to be moved to a better planned city. Ghana can take a cue from this as this is the only lasting solution there will ever be. How many years from now will this continue as populations increase and pressurize decades-old infrastructure?

War against political corruption & criminals should be taking more seriously than the harassment of motorists with little knowledge of using roads due to the government inability to provide mandatory road safety measures in the form of highway manuals & road safety codes are learnt before acquiring driving licenses!!!
The issuing & obtaining of driving licenses should be more stringent & based on well established driving Schools/schemes that enforces knowledge of road safety & highway codes are learnt prior to passing well qualified driving school test!
Three lane highways in cities, along with all roads requires mandatory mounting of clear highway codes & road signs to ensure road safety is observed & taken seriously by the current ill informed motorists!
The rampant arrest of motorists is unjustified & unfair, when the government hasn't put in place measures (highway codes, signs etc) to curb or prevent easy access to obtaining driving licenses thus, preventing reckless driving in the first place!!!
