Thank you for grabbing the center of the hood and making sure the handlebars were straight before opening and closing the hood. I hate it when people grab these fiberglass hoods from one side and flex the hell out of them along with scratching them on the handlebars. Big pet peeve of mine.
I also forgot to add another thing. Thank you for not putting your knee on the center of the seat like so many people do and then complain that they have a tear right in the center of the seat.
Those hoods weren't fiberglass. They were a special blend of injection molded plastic (RIM Metton). I believe the plastic was similar to ABS but much more flexible as to not crack in freezing temperatures. The nose cone was ABS.
Had a 1994 SKS , It was a good sled . Glad to see Rec supply on TH-cam , I buy all my parts from these guys , best motorsports company by a long shot .

Have 95 bought brand new 121” XCR track from brand new from dealer no reverse. Absolutely hands down best machine I have owned. One weak point is triple on pto side destroys plugs so after all day no issues ditch banging and lake running a 597cc with no issues and plus hard pack breaking 100mph regularly next day or after full cool down a plug is needed. Thunder cat 2022 preorder but yet to receive. Real and tough call choice was XCR 850 but sadly to meat spread expectations, ability to cheaply gain speed from factory, and reliable the 2022 60th CAT got me. Pretty cool 95 XLT still smokes 90% sleds out here on lake, Cat will be the clincher if it actually shows up with all the supply problems.

Yup! That's what they looked like when I took 'em out of the crate back in '97!! :) P.S. Be careful if you put a clutch kit in it, they'd smoke the crankshaft if it was held (I.E. full throttle) at a specific RPM (although I can't remember off the top of my head what that RPM was). Under it, you were ok...over it, you were ok. but right there in the middle...........BOOOOM!
From what I remember that was the 650s but could of been the xlts too. They had a bad harmonic vibration and they would fly apart. I want to say it was around 7500 - 7800 but I don't remember anymore haha
8000 RPM right where the factory clutching was the bad harmonic zone for the crankshaft. I had SLP tripple pipes, air box, and clutching in my 95. It turned 8700-9100.......I ran it 3000 miles that way before I traded it. It ran very good for the day.

I had a bit older indy 600, not completely stock, but holy crap that was a good sled. And fast. I don't know why polaris removed the radiators from the running boards on later models. I could be out in almost any weather and be warm.
This might sound silly. But, there is yellowish vacuum sync lines on each carb. I see in the video the 2 run up top. But there is 3 that run into the belly pan of my 1996 xlt 600. Basically I'm asking if they are supposed to run into the belly pan or the air box? I read multiple times the carbs are supposed to get equalized by the air box via those lines. Just looking for a confirmation to this. If you could check for me, please and thank you.
@@recreationsupplyco.1099 no problem i actually found out the answer! Only the fuel injection models use an altitude adjustment so those models need the vacuum lines to be actually under vacuum of the air box.
