Not sure where everybody is getting their information from but the quick shot adjusts the amount of fuel shooting out of the accelerator pump. It has nothing at all to do with hot start systems.. You also need to have your pump tuned to get rid of that click when you move the throttle. No it doesnt squirt all the time when you do that, that screw is to adjust the timing of the pump. you want it to fire the second you twist the throttle, so that the stream just BARELY misses the throttle plate. the AP ONLY squirts when you crank on the throttle. a slow acceleration wont activate the pump.
I know that it adjusts how much fuel it squirts when you whack the throttle. Regardless everything I said was advertised in the description of the part from the company. It did fix all the issues I had. So it was worth it for me.
@ I just don’t understand how an accelerator pump can claim to help with hot starts when it’s not even part of starting a bike. A hot start system adds air into the equation to lean out the mixture. An accelerator pump adds fuel. Doesn’t add up
