I just don't understand how they can not mention that this is a remix of Men I Trust. The genius in this song is in the bassline and the vocals and it wasn't written by them

They couldn't get sample clearance so had to record everything from scratch. Copyright clearance for sampling is the most stupid thing ever, especially for sick remixes like this. Anyway check out the original on YT with the original vocals/instrumental, it's much better.
